Azyrite Ruins & sneak peek for this weekend

Up and coming for the blog this weekend we have a review for Redgrass Games Everlasting Wet Palette, Garfy is working on a tutorial for painting the Warcry Catacombs terrain pieces (he got a copy early and wrote a fantastic review, check it out if you haven't already: https://taleofpainters.blogspot.com/2020/10/review-warcry-catacombs-boxed-game.html), and maybe I'll also be able to squeeze in another ToP tip :)

2020-11-10 02:30:21 +0000 UTCMold lines aren't too bad actually, just all the fenced windows are pain to clean. I just removed the most obvious lines. I designed the paint scheme to be very efficient, so priming all of the terrain above can be done in half an hour (2 coats of black, 1 coat of dark grey, excluding drying times), drybrushing the stone say another half an hour, then it's picking out all the details. Metal is fast, because I just stippled/drybrushed over the grey painted stone, most time-consuming is the brass and wood as you'll need to apply two or three coats of paint, then wash and drybrush. Skeletons were primed with Corax White separately, then washed and drybrushed. So if you're disciplined, you could do all of the terrain above on a good hobby Sunday afternoon/evening, about five to six hours without assembling.
