Core Bonuses and Intro Text

Grimm & Sons is a medium sized corpro-state with a background in heavy industry, terraforming, and mega-engineering well represented throughout the edges of Unionspace. Only technically a corpro-state in scale and production ability, Grimm & Sons is effectively the infrastructure built by the native culture of Lonely Cradle to interact with the grander scale of politics in Union, it is not a true corporation, but rather an outlet for the industrial power of a large post-scarcity state- the ruling powers of the "Corpro" being the great Clans of Lonely Cradle, organizations that are as much overgrown worker's syndicates as they are arms of the state. G&S is one of the largest names in colonial efforts organized through Union- and has been since recontact between Union and the Clans during the Early Second Comittee. In this role, they seek to claim frontier worlds and terraform them, breaking down ecologies and resources into a more comfortable shape for human habitation. On the far rim of Unionspace, where the Blink network falls away to long months of nearlight and years of lonely orbits, you'll find the people of Grimm & Sons, working with their great KINGDOM-Class Dropships, building the Paradise they seek on the fertile soil of new worlds.
It is this colonization effort that gives them the company motto- "Working for the Promised Land" and most of their fame within the wider circles of Diasporan and Cosmopolitian cultures. The Clanners see a universe full of promises in need of filling- homes that should be built, factories that can run, scarcity that can be slain through the sheer industrial might of the workers. And when the Promised Land they so desire to craft is threatened, what then? That leads us to the other thing Grimm & Sons is famous for: their mechs. Derived from early production models of industrial mechanized frames, most notably the MK1 Ghenghis derived Attakulla, the G&S Lines of mechs are rugged machines built to survive the very worst the universe can throw at them. Hyperfauna, carnivoflora, hurricanes, tectonic, meteor showers, hard vaccum, the crushing oceanic depths, space pirates and mountain bandits- each and every thing the rough-and-tumble mechanized chassis of Grimm & Sons overcome with sturdy engineering, sheer grit, and finely tuned force.

Core Bonuses:
Clanner’s Pride
How many hands touch a mech before it’s deployed? A hundred thousand mine the ores, ten thousand work the materials into RawMat, a thousand hands machine the parts, a dozen hands plate the frame, a single hand pulls the trigger. But your hand alone doesn’t grasp the gun. All those hands are with you, at every moment.
Your mech is Immune to the Slowed Condition (unless inflicted by systems, traits, talents, or etc) and ignores Difficult Terrain and Engagement when it moves.
Bullet Clan’s Bulk
put fluff here
When you have cover, your mech is treated as having +1 Armor. Additionally any mech you print has +2 HP. This does not stack with other core bonuses.
DAVID Gianthunter Rig
put fluff here
Your mech may ignore engagement and move through the spaces of larger mechs. When your mech is adjacent to a larger mech, they gain +1 Difficulty on all ranged and melee attacks that do not target you.
BIGFOOT Impact Bracing
put fluff here
Your mech gains the “Earthquake Step” Action.
Earthquake Step
Protocol, 1/Scene
Until the end of your turn, your mech is truly moving, and nothing can stop it. Your movement ignored Engagement, any terrain you pass through suffers 20 AP Kinetic damage, and any characters you move adjacent to must make a HULL save or fall prone.

Some specific early stuff as we get cracking on the actual rules of GnS. For a while Core Bonuses were a big stumbling point but I think we have some ideas that might be a bit fun to play around with.
Comments
The core bonuses feel like they touch a lot on the same effects *but* I’m actually excited to test all of them? They feel very differently applicable across the roster at least. Love to see it, excited for what all else you got cookin’. The writing is some of my favorite across all of the lancer 3rd party stuff, as always. Y’all knock that outta the park every time.
