No, this is not a thumbnail concept for grOw/cinema 3.2 ("Coastal Swells"). This is a B.E. concept drawing I did way back in the 90's (I'm not sure exactly what year).
Unlike my wife's idea in the cinema comic that had the pufferfish as the cause, my concept had to do with something in the air tanks that was causing the growth, a scary scenario since you CAN'T stop breathing it in while underwater.
Then why the pufferfish in the drawing? It was just a funny addition as if the fish was commiserating with the character.
I'm sorry that the scan is a little murky. This is an old pencil drawing on some thin, copier paper from back in the day. It is fading a bit. My dual printer/scanner is not that great at picking up the details. (My higher end scanner died a year ago, and I couldn't justify buying a new one.) I tried bumping up the contrast and clean it up in Photoshop as much as I could.
