I struggled with the shading of this one! The characters had very different color palettes, and were quite saturated too - especially his jacket. The layer effects I set up for the lighting were just not being absorbed properly into the flat colors below them, so I had to manually change adjust the colors to be different from the ref sheet. If you're an artist, don't be afraid to do that! I've done it numerous times and have never been called out on it. Try to see palettes as a guideline, rather than a hard fast rule. :3
