It looks like Chance and Dawn are getting closer and closer. :3 I love working with afternoon lighting and warm colors because the way colors shift is a lot more predictable. Same for how shadows cast, and whether they're hard or soft.
Additionally, I learned something new with this painting! Do you see the floral pattern on the fox's shorts? If you combine a Soft Light layer with an Overlay layer, with the Soft Light layer set to grey and the Overlay layer set to white, you can get a cool shiny effect like that, which builds off of whatever values you place under it. It's pretty cool! :D
