Major Changes Coming to GO

Now that we have "completed" the core of Girls Overboard, we have been looking at the weak points of gameplay and came up with some really cool ideas to fun-itize the non-fun parts! Before I tell you about these changes, I need you to promise not to freak out. Okay?

Casting Net:

Have you been spamming the cast net button and not bothering to look at the materials you collect? I don't blame you.. Why would you not, right? Well, what if instead of a collect screen, it was a... SLUT MACHINE! Wait-- no, not slut. I meant slot machine- slot machine. Now, before you disregard the idea because it is nowhere near as cool as a "slut machine," stay with me because all the ideas synergize to a grand game experience!

You will collect materials each time you cast your net as usual, but with the Slot Mechanic if you time it right, or get lucky, you can match-three to win bonus items. You can also use bait to improve your chances of matching across multiple lines. Not only that, you can combo each pull to win better rewards!

Material Box Update:

Are you tired of the monotony of combining material? Well, what if the Material Box gave you the fun of a match-three game but kept the stress-free aspect of allowing you to play at your own pace? Then you're in luck! We are replacing the scales, cloth, shells, and rarity system with colored gems. (Remember you promised not to freak out!)

Instead of combining materials to create higher rarities, your Material Box will be filled with gems you collected from the slot machine. So, you can improve your odds of matches in the slots and in the material box by using bait to influence the color gems you want. Control to colors to make the right gifts and win your waifu's heart!

Crafting Gifts:

Are you tired of memorizing complicated ingredient lists? Well, no more! We are simplifying the ingredient system to revolve around color points from matching gems in the Material Box. This will be much more straightforward and easy to manage, so we look forward to sharing with you!

Release Date:

We will be releasing an updated build with the new features to Patreon very soon, but the public release will be delayed until September. Thank you for understanding and we hope you look forward to the new and improved version of Girls Overboard!
