What's going on this week & TMI time

A lot of stuff happened this past week, but I'm back up and running. Should be able to crank out a lot of content for you all in the next couple of weeks.

I would take my Mom with me, but she has more of a social life than I do, I wouldn't want to drag her away! 😄 I was always more of a 'handy-man' than my brother. More technically-minded

Luckily, the expenses weren't anywhere near as bad as they could have been. The internet technician's work was free since it was the internet company's hardware. But yeah, hundreds of dollars of unexpected costs are never welcome. Ahhhh, the red light district. I wondered down there on accident once. It becomes very apparent rather quickly that we had casually sauntered down the wrong street. Awesome that the venue seating and view was so good. Those guys put on quite the show, so to be able to see their faces must have been great.

Wow. 25 years is a long time to settle in one place. I wouldn't want to move. But yes, change can also be exciting. My solution for moving away from my mom was just moving her with us. But we were able to find a house that could support that while keeping our independence. Tell your brother to step up to the plate lol.

Omg that sounds like a week from hell. And I am NOT handy, so all of that would have required people in...expenses.. OUCH. But even if you are handy...OUCH. My week was tiring but in a very good way, especially the last few days. We had a couple of living room performances (it's an event called "a peek at the neighbours"...sort of). It was lovely, good reviews. I met up with a few Atiny-friends who are here for the concert. We had dinner at a very good Korean restaurant, but since we didn't know the area very well, we didn't know it was in the red light district until we were in the queue and looked around. It was an experience haha. But the food was amazing and it was so nice to chit chat. And then yesterday...Ateez. What can I say? It was absolutely fantastic. Unlike the girls I met up with, I had cheap seat, but they were terrific. The best view ever, straight from the podium and when they were on the extended stage I could even see the expression on their faces. For 110 euro tickets that was brilliant. And we didn't have to queue up at 8am at freezing temps. And we had seats. I will take that any day! But it was superb. Anyway..much better than your week. That is clear.

Torn about moving. I have been in this house for 25 years, but a change is also exciting. The problem (as you know pretty well 😵) is selling your place and getting new place, with all the timing lining up. And moving everything would be expensive. My Mom is also here, and I like being able to pop in whenever. Strangely, my brother lives with her, but she always asks me to help with stuff 😆

My cats are a mixed bag when it comes to noisy workers. Some of them will great them at the door, while others don't show their face again until an hour after they've left the house. Yikes on all the plumbing issues. Actually having to replace piping can get real expensive if you can't do it yourself. I'm sure the hard drive wasn't cheap either. Good luck on the house hunting. Would a move be welcome, or more of a pain than anything?

My cats are not fond of noisy workers (gardeners or plumbers) They never had a problem with noises like thunder and fireworks. Then we had a massive hailstorm resulting in a replaced ceiling, and now they get skittish when there is noise. It is never one thing that breaks. 😁 If it wasn't so expensive, it is great to replace stuff. I spent Christmas replacing geysers, sink and toilet pipes and laptop hard-drives. I might need to sell my house to move to a new city, depending on work. I want as many things as possible to be fixed or replaced. I would feel horrible if I didn't let a buyer know of some issue. At the same time, you don't want to replace things that they might not like and just rip out and replace themselves. Also why I am looking at new-builds. Hopefully fewer issues, and no transfer fees. Glad the animals are doing well and hopefully all your issues are now behind you
