That's too bad that Tablo's great accomplishment had shade thrown on it like that. I don't get why it's so hard for someone to just let go of stuff like that. I don't know if it's resentment or a misplaced sense of righteousness or what. But, to get a masters in less time than the vast majority of people use to get a bachelors is an impressive feat. The fact that Epik High's light stick is literally a giant, pulsating middle finger is in and of itself... epic.

I think a lot of it has to do with his confidence, and 3Racha finding new ways to use his voice and get him to push himself. The original films were referred to as magic lanterns, so that makes the most sense. Tablo is an extremely intelligent person. He managed to get his Bachelor's Degree in English literature and a Master's Degree in creative writing in three and a half years at Stanford University. Unfortunately, there were a group of antis (called TaJinYo lead by a 57 year old Korean-American, who is now feeling persecuted because the police are after him and doesn't see how what he did is a crime) that decided that this was impossible and spent years harassing him and accusing him of being a fraud. Even after the university registrar produced the documentation on camera, and the Korean police conducted an investigation and cleared him. People were arrested and sued, but the group is still going strong. All the other highlighted sections with Tablo are correct. 11:15 "Tears aim at my memories" could be translated to merely "Wounded by painful memories", but the poetry does get lost and the imagery of someone crying helps lift the imagery of the second line below. Also using aim, which specifically in this case refers "to target", would indicate that the tears aren't just welling up, but are like an attack. 11:16 "The moment that passed blooms" is a sort of mistranslation. It probably would make more sense to say "The past moment that I peer" - specifically using peer as having to squint at or having difficulty seeing clearly - either through the tears or not wanting to look directly at the painful past. I think they are confusing νΌμ΄ (to peer) with νΌμ΄λ (to bloom). However, it still metaphorically makes sense because while you are crying, that sorrow radiates (blooms) throughout your vision literally with tear-filled eyes, and figuratively, with an aching heart. 13:31 "Flashing lanterns" is a mistranslation but the intention is correct, it's like quickly moving scenes (like that of a film) that are flashing in your mind - memories, fantasies, imagination.

In other translations, for example, I don't even see flashing langer . Anyway, I like this song a lot. It's mellow, yet the bpm is quite high. Interesting experience to listen to this.
