That's what I think: they refer both to Finding Nemo as The Odyssey and I LOVE that. I am a geek at heart hahha

Katja van den Berg

Agree. This is SKZ's confidence era.

K-pop Auntie

Now that makes sense. Thank you.

I hadn't even thought of Nemo in reference to the Odyssey. I was just thinking Finding Nemo lol. I actually had to look it up, but it all came rushing back to me when I saw that nemo means nobody in Latin and the whole scene with the blinding of the giant. "Say hello to Nemo, because I can't see" makes a lot of sense in that reference. At least if you take it on face value as the kids referencing their recent Giant album and themselves as giants and less so if trying to get complicated with them being blinded by an enemy and no one coming to their rescue. Maybe it's one of SKZ's good ole double entendres where Nemo can reference others sinking below the water's surface (thus seeing fish), and a reference to themselves being giants.

Nice! I hope to get to all the songs pretty quickly.

oh no, tech nightmare. I feel for you. Learn so much from your interpretation. I think, many of their recent tracks have a similar message of showing their confidence.

There is also a lizard called a “common basilisk” that runs on water. Its nickname is the Jesus lizard.

I truly don't care that it wasn't a real first reaction. The song was still very new to you and even then I wouldn't have cared lol. I loved hearing your interpretation of the lyrics (knew you would like the song....and others on the album). Yes! They are not comparing themselves to Jesus , they are talking about having faith. And it shows their own religious upbringing too, or they would never have used all those references. One teeny tiny thing I had hoped you would mention...nemo, cause I can't see. I didn't study classical languages at uni, but did have Latin and Greek all through high school and immediately thought of the Odyssey. But maybe my thoughts are way off there (even if we know Chan loves mythology and would probably know). Anyway, shame about the technical difficulties. I would love to share this reaction / interpretation with others. But will just have to send them to your Patreon haha

I love your reactions so much! Even if it wasn't the first reaction it was very enjoyable to watch! I think you'll love bounce back, it's my favorite one out of the group songs!
