2024-12-05 17:07:21 +0000 UTClol came to the comments to explain the album’s theme but someone beat me to it This album (minisode 2 Thursday’s Child) and The Name Chapter Temptation are two albums I always recommend to listen to in full at least once since the songs in order tell a story- ms2tc with the stages of grief and tnct with not wanting to grow up and therefore being trapped by their version of neverland to acceptance of the reality of growing up. I’m so excited for you to listen to more of their discography!! I keep trying to vote for more music but the variety shows are very popular so it’s hard to beat them lol

2024-12-03 18:39:35 +0000 UTCSo the interesting thing about this song is that it's the first song of Minisode 2: Thursday's child. The album consists of five songs and each song represents one of the five stages of grief. Opening sequence represents denial, which is pretty evident in the lyrics with them constantly rewinding the opening sequence to the movie, meaning the break up. It's also quite sad if you are familiar with their previous albums, where this special person was their savior/escape after the struggles to the point of obsession, which as we all know it's not really a healthy relationship, so for me the foreshadowing they mention is really heartbreaking. The other songs in the album are: Good boy gone bad (anger), Trust fund baby (bargaining), Lonely boy (depression) and Thursday's child has far to go (acceptance). Needless to say I truly love this album and how it's structured and represents the emotions we go through in order to deal with such a loss. I hope in the future you can also check out the rest of the album as I really love how much attention you pay to lyrics. I would take this chance to recommend their song Ice cream as it is a bit contradicting. At the beginning it was one of my least favorite songs because of its sound, which wasn't really my style, but after checking the lyrics my view of it turned 180°.
