Winterfest Snowball Fight End Game!

Warning: if you have not read the previous two episodes, you're missing out on a lot of fun! Please read these before continuing.

Winterfest Snowball Fight Story Continued...

With Angeline's declaration of war, snow was flying like never before -- even one of the Apprentices was flying! (Well, technically he was riding a Greffen and the Greffen was the one producing flight; but that's not the point.) The point is things were crazy after that. Previous rivals joined forces to launch team assaults on the Royal Commander, who is now glowing white with intensity as she seems to grow in size.

You and your allies use every method of combat at your disposal to break through the Commander's energy barrier. Even the folks who had left the snowball fight to have cocoa in the Tavern have come out to join the melee. Team Brea leads the assault by using the Alchemist's Lizard as a the center of a cannon-sized snowball. Someone seems to have pushed Sir Quintus the Sleeping Knight close enough for the Doll Guard to use him as a shield. There was even the invisible form of a naked Apprentice running around! Or at least you think there was... It's hard to tell, as they're invisible.

Bam! One snowball hits! Wham! Smack! Two more snowballs hit! Then the drumming of a thousand more snowballs hitting their marks rings out! However, the Commander doesn't seem to be yielding in the slightest and continues to grow in size. Suddenly a shout can be heard as Eleanna, the Lead Ranger of Stars Reach, is boosted over the crowd  by another Apprentice. Using a wind spell to blast a giant snowball at the Commander like a meteor from outer space (although 'like a comet' might be a better descriptor due to comets' inherent icy composition -- but now isn't the time for semantics!). As the swirling energy of magic snowballness impacts the Commander, everyone goes silent. The frost and wind disperses to reveal the Commander?

Shimmering and sparkling, what you thought was Angeline this whole time appears to be a frozen reflection of herself. Is that her? Is this magic? Everyone seems confused; but on the battlefield, a split second of confusion can be the difference between glorious victory and shameful defeat.

There are often times in life where one finds themselves in someone else's shoes. Someone they would never have wanted to be in the same shoes of, or even expected themselves to, but it just happens. In this particular moment, you find yourself thinking back to those Goblin raiders who attacked Stars Reach on your first day for, looking up at the sky as you are now, you know exactly how they must have felt.

What began as an inconspicuous twinkle in the sky has now revealed itself as the Royal Commander, diving from the clouds like a vengeful valkyrie. And you heard, as it were, the noise of thunder.

Royal Commander Angeline: "Frozen Silence!"

Time seems to slow to a crawl as you see your imminent demise approach. As the legendary ice blade, Sigurd pierces the ground, you see why singing bards named Angeline as the frozen flower that blooms in battle. Or as a learned man would one day lament, the Commander had become Death, destroyer of worlds.

At least, it would have been death if she was in a mind to cause you actual harm. Instead, everyone was merely frosted head to toe in a manner similar to the Christmas tree in the Lower Courtyard.

Royal Commander Angeline: "Well done, all of you. It is a brave deed to set aside rivalry and fight for what you believe. I would expect this from any my soldiers, but I was not expecting such a performance from you. Such heroics deserved to be recognized with a Title. Please look forward to a Letter Scroll in your message box at the time of next update with instructions how to claim your Event Title in-game."

Royal Commander Angeline: "You should all be proud of yourselves and enjoy the remaining days of Winterfest. Once you've thawed out, of course."

The slightest smile crosses Angeline's face before she beckons her Animal Companion to follow.

Royal Commander Angeline: "Afealtes, this way."

Shaking off snow and what looks like a frozen Apprentice off its back, the Dark Greffen trots off after the Commander. Standing around frozen you can hit the Like button to try and break your thumbs free or Comment to yell shouts of cheer to your fellow allies in ice.

*1 Hidden Title will be given to all patrons and a 2nd Hidden Title just for those that participated in both rounds of the Snowball Fight.

At least the shrinkage was invisible as well! XD

AGL games

I feel that went well. Aside from the naked guy...Not sure about that tactic in the winter.

Here, here to that! Well done, boys!

AGL games

It was a good attempt, but it will take more that sneak attacks to defeat the Commander. Well fought, soldier.

AGL games

Everyone! No mercy in a snowball fight!

AGL games

Cool!

Terebonkoff Game Studio

Great job apprentices. I feel like we can claim a moral victory if nothing else :P

Hanners

Oh no my sneak attack failed haha that's to be expected when it comes to the commander. Time to go rest after the battle with a warm bath assuming she didn't freeze all the water that is haha.

BTW, did she only freeze the apprentices or the castle staff and her sister as well?

icy death from above
