Royal Guard Tier Now Open!

Greetings proud soldiers of Stars Reach! Your good friend and humble herald, Din here to share an exciting new tier, The Royal Guard! (insert sword swing sound effect)

Now that the Faulty Apprentice: Chapter One alpha is at its stable point, we will begin adding additional features and content. This means bugs, possibly huge ones like in that movie Starship Troopers (eek!). While we know playtesting and squashing bugs isn't for everyone, but we've got to do it! But we're not stopping there, we want the Royal Guards to take a more hands-on role serving the Commander. Essentially, first responders to updates during game production.

As a Royal Guard tier, you will occasionally have the opportunity to give feedback on the story's early drafts, and first access to new game features. We are not expecting many Knights to join this tier, so we expect the people that do to be very active. I know it sounds weird for us to be 'expecting' things from you, when you are supporting us, but we are serious about making a great game and want people with similar drive around us.

A lot of Knights are already Royal Guard material with their bug-squashing abilities, but we want to focus our battle strategy into using a select few soldiers. Loyal soldiers. These soldiers would occasionally have access to slightly more spoiler content, so we need them serious.

Think of this like our internship program, but our intern is already doing all the work, so you get to drink coffee and talk shop. Except there are bugs in the coffee and around the shop? I guess that analogy doesn't work well, but basically if you like being on the front line of Faulty Apprentice game dev and don't mind crushing bugs. This is for you!

Once a game build has some snazzy new content and is 99.9% bug-free, we will update the main $10 tier Patreon build. On top of that, expect a lot of deepest gratitude and intangible love from us.<3

Discord access is ideal (for communication) and you will be given a special role as a "Royal Guard".
