The Legend of Sir Quintus!

Whether by third, second, or first hand account, practically everyone in the Kingdom has heard of the Hundred Quest Knight. While the brave Sir Quintus now humbly serves as bodyguard to the Princess, tales of his glory days are still making their ways across the kingdom.

Like the time when Sir Quintus rescued a baby shadow-cat that was stuck in a tree? Or the one time he slayed the Babbling Brook Basilisk?

What was Sir Quintus’ first quest? What was his most heroic or dangerous quest? What about the most ridiculous quest he’s ever done??

Comment with your answer to the questions and you might hear one of the Castle Guards gossip about it in-game.

The Legend of Sir Quintus!

Comments

He actually only managed 97 quests; then he took an arrow to the knee.

Robert Arctor

First Quest: At 3 years old he rescued a little red hen from being dinner one night and hid her in his room for 5 days. A bond was formed, and the hen still produces eggs ‘til this day. Most Dangerous Quest: He wrestled a rabid werebear with his bear hands. Most Heroic Quest: Voluntarily gave his eye to a sea witch in return for the release of a 3-legged talking dog. Most Ridiculous Quest: It was a case of forbidden love between a dwarf and a young giantess. Sir Quintus searched for and delivered a magic pair of stilts to the dwarf so he could visit his lady-love. He was the best man at the wedding.

i was in the middle of a long tale and my mouse has a back botton on it which got rid of it all.. welp better start again. I hear his first quest was a simple gathering quest but it was also how he became a legend, a medicinal herb became populaar in a near by town for producing high quality potions with little effort, these were so good that even the herbs them selves gave some healing qualities, thus, with them being so simple to use, even the goblins were on the hunt for them, though they aoften confused them with simpilar looking but just as powerful poison potions. but it turns out that these potions were the product of a giant plant type monster, you can imagine the regenerative abilities on this, lop off his head and another will replace it, so Sir Quintus decided to use some of the poisonous plants to add poison to his blade and stump the regeneration process thus defeating the beast. though tat quest was nothing compared to his most dangerous and at the same time weirdest quest, he had to bring the head of a dragon that threatened the end of stars reach, though he had to complete the quest by cross dressing... so a powerful wizard became obsessed with the dark arts after finding a scroll that granted him immence power at the cost of most of his eye sight, so he eventually stumbled upon a scroll that could summon a dreagon (which is a mix between a Rea, a fairy race filled with beatiful looking woman, and a dragon as i kind of sub catagory of Rea's) but that scroll was actually for a dragon and he was greatly dissapointed, so he used the dragon to threaten to destroy stars reach unless the brought him the former princess, but Sir quintus came to the rescue dressed up as the princess, the half blind dark wizard accepted the offer and disspelled his magic, not soon befor Sir quintus beat him up and he was charged with the death penalty for threatening royalty and the kingdom

Not all knights have a happy beginning, and this sadly holds true for Sir Quintus. Sir Quintus's first mission should have been simple, travel to the old Alexandrite Dragon hunting grounds and retrieve and Alexandrite scale. A simple mission given to beginners. Alexandrite Dragons haven't been sighted at the hunting ground in hundreds of years, and good riddance. Their Alexandrite scales known for their great beauty also made them near impervious to physical and magical attacks. But their greatest strength was also their greatest weakness. The hunters, now known as the gem knights, integrated Alexandrite scales into their weapons and hunted the Alexandrite dragons into extinction. Sir Quintus was not alone in searching for the shard, ten other beginner knights were also sent to search the large area. The area was looted long ago for the scales and the quest usually only served as exercise to help train the knights if they found a shard it was just a bonus, but the fledglings did not know this. They continued on with the quest stalwart about not returning home without a scale. As they searched one of the young knights was stolen off by a winged creature. The knights rushed off to save their fellow companion which led them to the beasts lair. There they saw the beast, a large dull colored spiked creature devouring their fellow knight. Sir Quintus and the other knights filled with hatred and disgust for the beast attacked the creature, but all their attacks bounced off the creature without a scratch only now realizing this must be an ancient Alexandrite dragon. The creature did not care it continued to feast on the knight until the knights stopped attacking and instead tried to rescue what was left of the knight. The dragon now angered began attacking the other knights massacring them with ease one by one the knights fell to the power of the creature. The knights fled with no hope of escape facing their imminent doom until Sir Quintus was the only one left. The dragon paused shortly to feed on the new meals giving Quintus time to make a plan. He knew he could not outrun or harm the creature and that he could only hide for so long, so he examined the lair and noticed large unstable stalactites hanging from the ceiling, He would need something with a powerful blast to release it. Quintus knew no such magic but he did know one of his companions was carrying a glyph stone with the glyph of eruption in case they needed to clear some debris in their path. So Sir Quintus slowly made his way to the bag of his deceased ally now it was only a matter of positioning the beast below the stalactites. Using himself as bait he lured the dragon under the stalactites and threw the glyph stone releasing a powerful blast dropping a stalactite on the creature. The creature was not killed but part its side had fractured off, it quickly got up and fled to recover from its injury leaving Quintus alone in the cave. Quintus racked with grief buried what was left of his team and recovered the dull mass that broke off the dragon and returned home. Upon return the mission was deemed a complete failure with good reason the squad was nearly wiped out and the shard was not composed of Alexandrite. Quintus kept the shard and was given leave to recover from the traumatic experience. In that recovery he visited the blacksmith to identify the mass he recovered to which the blacksmith identified the mass as orichalcum a fabled metal said to be unbreakable when forged correctly. The blacksmith yearning to make a name for himself pleaded Quintus to let him forge the ore into a weapon and Quintus agreed. Now armed with a legendary weapon, as well as a reminder of his past, he swore an oath to honor his fallen brothers he would complete ten quests for each one resulting in 100 quests. And one day he would return to the Orichalcum Dragon and finish what he started.

His most heroic quest is said to be slaying the Five-headed Beast of Pentalobe. With its shark-like jaws it devoured the inhabitants of countless villages. Agile as a panther and huge as an elefant it surely was a terrifying vile creature. Talons as sharp as a lions and eyes keen as an eagles it fell upon its prey. The quick thinking and cunning wits of Sir Quintus were the beasts downfall, literally, as it charged towards the hero and failed to notice the cliff behind the brave warrior.

His first ever quest was to find the Scry-stone of Wraiths glade. Not that he was asked to get it or that he was prepared to do so, but he went to get it anyways. He wasnt too successful due to a banshee guarding the treasure, although he managed to grab the stone and made a run for his money. Hes partially deaf on his left ear from the encounter.
