Faulty Apprentice: Banners

Greetings Apprentices! Your good friend and humble banner-man, Din here to give the first look at one of the recent additions coming to Faulty Apprentice. The all mighty Banners! Originally, banners were going to be linked to Equipment. So if you were using Sword & Shield, you would have the Sword (blue) banner. If you were using Book & Scroll, you would have Mage (yellow), Archer (green) and so on. This was cool, but wanting to give you the player as much freedom as possible, we thought customizable Banners would be even better!

Banners are a customizable UI element that can be acquired by various means in and out of the Castle. Some banners can be obtained through direct means such as building Relationships with NPCs. Others by Training and completing Jobs, or even purchasing in the in-game store. However, rumors say there are secret Banners hidden away within Stars Reach, waiting to be discovered.

Banners will be present in majority of UI as you navigate between in-game screens. One example is for Areas of the Castle. Below you can see the Farm Boy Banner behind the UI in upper left of screen shot. *You'll probably notice a couple more new elements in the UI, but we'll talk about those in a future post!

For some players, Banners will be a badge of honor that show their dedication and accomplishments, while other players might just like pretty colours.
