FA: Animated Gif Backgrounds?

Since the game resolution overall is fairly low, we thought having the backgrounds with slight animations would be really cool. However when it comes to illustration scenes with characters, we are on the fence.

2017-01-23 17:39:37 +0000 UTCThat's tough. I love the idea of little animated scenes but when I look at those two examples I can't help but notice the big drop in quality. It'd be cool if you guys could find a way past the quality drop, but I understand the limitations. Personally I'm all for the backgrounds being animated (blowing leafs, flowing water and all that) but when it comes to the characters themselves I want them to be as clear as possible. All the characters look great so I'd hate for the pixelation to take away from them. Another idea might be giving the players the option to turn animations on or off to fit their preferences. That'd probably make everyone happy if adding that option was possible.

2017-01-20 21:10:26 +0000 UTCas patron, i get the high res wallpapers of these cuties and imo if its animated, the game feels more alive as normal gamer, i would prefer high quality over little gimmicks i vote for the half-half
