What is Faulty Apprentice?

Faulty Apprentice is a mature rated adventure dating sim with RPG elements. In a world of monsters, magic and mystery, you take on the role of an ordinary farm boy that left home seeking an apprenticeship of some form. The only problem is he is terrible at EVERYTHING!!

Is a lifetime of failure leading him to a greater purpose? Or will he fail in a blaze of glory like always? Perhaps with your help and and some new friends, you can turn this Faulty Apprentice into a true hero!

Game play breakdown:

Similar to the Persona series, the game timeline is broken down day by day. Each day you will have the opportunity to train in any two Skills: Magic, Swordsmanship, and Archery. Completing the training mini games will allow you to level up a particular Skill, which will be needed to complete Quests.

Using an open world concept with the castle, you will find various characters with Quests requiring a certain Skill(s) for you to accept. Each with their own fun mini game related to that particular skill(s)! After successfully completing Quests you will build your Courage level.

Raising your Courage will allow you to spend time with the Instructors outside of training and progress the story. The training path and characters you choose to spend time with will unlock new areas of the castle, characters, quests and affect the overall story.

Some routes of the game will lead to good, others to evil. Will you save the kingdom? Or will you bring about it's destruction? The fate of the lands will be determined by you, the Faulty Apprentice.

What's new and cool about this update?

• New mini game for Sword Training!! This is a complete revamp, starting with the training mechanic. Now you will need quick reflexes and precision to hit the strike zone within a small time window. That means you not only need to be quick but accurate as well. Just like in a real sword fight! (That's what this training is about right?) This training upgrade also includes a sweet new effect for sword attacks!

• The next super cool updated feature to Faulty Apprentice is new Map Screen!! Now you can see the castle in all its 3 dimensional glory! Only 4 areas are unlocked for now, but you can see how much there is to explore later in the game!

• New return scenes! Now after you fail at training and go back for more, you will be greeted with unique responses from each of the training instructors. Some might be annoyed to see you again, some might be happy.

• Nice new background painting for the castle exterior and front gates.

• A lot more little things behind the scenes making the game run smoother and cooler!
