Commission for Zax along with Process Pics!
Added 2023-08-06 06:33:15 +0000 UTCSpend today and yesterday finishing up this commission so I don't have any Patreon stuff to show.. so I figured I could share the process for making it at least!
Thank you for your patience with me catching up! I haven't forgotten about last month's reward! Will continue to work on them tomorrow!
As for the process, this is essentially what I follow for all my colored art!
-I start with rough sketch. I use 3d Models sometimes to check anatomy or if the pose is like crazy LOL.
-I then lay out the flats which are the base colors. Sometimes I don't do the background until later (bad habit, don't do this!!!), but for full paintings, I put down the background with the flats.
-After flats, I start rendering with shadows. I have to consider the lighting from the start so I don't confuse myself half way through!
-Render, render, render. I tend to leave scales for last because.... they kind of are a pain to paint QwQ
-RENDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
-After everything is done, I put it on Photoshop where I do some post processing like adjust the hues/saturation and levels.
