I saw the film Dark Waters a while ago and was already familiar with Robert Bilott's remarkable and gargantuan efforts but I've never read a good technical summary of the main pollutants, how common they are and the real risks of them as we understand them now. PTFE rarely gets discussed bar the recommendation on avoiding high temperatures for pans. I note some things have been changed/reformulated like Gore-Tex, Scotchgard and perhaps some ski waxes but the information or detail isn't always great for products. BTW, there's something afoot at IUPAC to potentially narrow the definition of PFAS.
