Revisiting previous Veritasium videos - what do you think?
Added 2024-03-15 16:27:07 +0000 UTCHi everyone,
We’d like to experiment with a new type of video, one that enables us to go deeper on specific topics. The idea is to revisit previous videos on a given theme while adding fresh content in the form of new voiceovers, behind-the-scenes commentary, deleted scenes - the type of bonus material that used to be called ‘DVD Extras’. These videos will probably end up being at least 90 minutes long.
With all that in mind, which of the following topics should we tackle first?
Comments
Neither did DVD extras, it's for a specific audience

2024-03-20 09:11:34 +0000 UTCI'm doubt a 90 minute video will get many views. I really like what Dave from Just Have a Think did - creating brand new videos that revisit previous episodes and provide updates on them.

2024-03-16 06:01:41 +0000 UTCScientist who changed the world! I love the math history lessons, not perhaps because its the most fun topics but because Veritasium makes them soo much better than any one else. Where there are plenty of good tech channels for such topics. And actually, learning where the ideas originated from is a wonderful way of gaining understanding

2024-03-15 20:47:47 +0000 UTCOooh... Love the "wrong about..." concept.... primarily because the original video may have been correct, but new developments, information, research, have brought new things to light...

2024-03-15 19:14:05 +0000 UTCAny of them would be great topics. But I'd also be interested in a general "things I/we have been wrong about" video. A general errata or something.

2024-03-15 18:48:35 +0000 UTCComputing topics are amazing. But all these topics equally great. I would watch any video you make. Its always interesting and engaging.

2024-03-15 18:06:03 +0000 UTCPersonally, I get the most value from human-centric topics. The videos I enjoy the most delve more deeply into the people, places, history and impact rather than the technicalities.

2024-03-15 17:31:52 +0000 UTCScientists who changed the world or stunts that prove a point would be wonderful. One of my favorite videos is the one about potash. I would absolutely love to see more like that!

2024-03-15 16:43:26 +0000 UTCCan only imagine how much ends up on the cutting room floor. And it was probably painful to leave out. By all means, put it to good use! :D
