What's this, two sneak peaks in one week?

Yes indeed! We're working on a lot of projects at the moment and are very keen to hear your thoughts on another upcoming video. For this one, we took a trip to the world's darkest room to learn the science behind some very cool tech.

As always, thoughts and suggestions are very much appreciated!

Thanks for these notes! To your question - the channel walls are often coated in material that yields electrons, though I believe it's sensitive info so we didn't get specifics. - Emily

Very cool and well illustrated/exemplified above all. Learned a whole lot even though i was familiar with the basic types of technologies and their application. :) Must have been a PITA dealing with the clearance/approval for all this.... cudos! 09:32 - Is a single and arguably sketchy "War On Terror" raid *twelve* years ago really a good way to underline the relevance of this gear? Are there no other more recent examples or instances where top-tier SOF units were pictured using these? 13:19 - May be just my ignorance but... where do all those electrons knocked off the insulator walls keep coming from? 14:12 - On purpose or by accident, that surveillance footage does not seem to be an authentic NV image 17:32 - Thermionic emission: May be worth mentioning if the goggles actually have more noise / perform worse as they get warmer, similar to thermal system 21:29 - "target practice": Not sure how intentionally you want to play with the goggles' and the range's intended purpose here, but it feels like a throwaway gag if you're not going to show any results, unlike in the vision test. Congrats btw :) 22:50 onwards - great animations with the illumination source/conditions in the background of each *chef's kiss*

Have done a bunch with Navy Crane, so love this. Could you try to pronounce it infra-red please instead of in-Fred? 14:46 your color band is not aligned with the wavelengths. 532nm for example is solid green but it’s blue on your plot. Great material, my 10 yr old will love this! He’s been bugging me about night vision goggles. Helicopter pilots (like my brother) will fly with image intensification goggles at night btw if they do have to fly at night. A little higher stakes than your buggy cart :)
