The classic clickbait red arrow made me vomit a little. I'm loving the content lately, so if that's what it takes for these videos to be successful, I'm all for it.

Video is awesome! But Derek, I gotta say... SimpliSafe is simply not safe... Perhaps you should reconsider this sponsorship... [https://youtu.be/UlNkQJzw4oA]

For clicks, you gotta reference the exam question. People hate bad questions on tests, and love the idea of someone going to extraordinary lengths to prove themselves right and fight ‘the man’ to get their points back. It’s a justice thing and if that’s what the title is hinting at, you should go for it.

Since I am not familiar with the exam question and have no context, none of these really interest me. I think with lack of context it ends up just being vague. But maybe I am not the typical person. I don't typically care for click bait unless I have context.

I am tempted by «the physics question I needed a helicopter to solve», because it looks sort of impressive. But quickly I realise that this is not saying much about the question itself, leaving me with a feeling of being tricked into clicking just for the sensationalist title (something I would only do with a trusted youtuber). So I go for the more serious and concise «the helicopter rope riddle».

I would go with the title "I rented a Helicopter To Settle a Physics Exam Question", the thumbnail "What shape is the rope?" in Black text on the rightside. I think the black larger text is more eye catching than smaller white, there's a less contrast

The first one! (I was absolutely stumped by this question)

I'm glad it generated a good discussion! This is exactly what we want to do with these kinds of videos.

I think physics exam question title is the most clickable, but I like the thumbnail saying 'what shape is the rope', cos that's what the video is about. Though I may be biased towards that since I saw the helicopter question posted on YouTube last week Either way I look forward to the explanations. I posted the question to my family and we had a good discussion about it

I vote for the right one, but actually like title of the left more
