Second, I saw some feedback on previous polls I've conducted about titles and thumbnails saying 'don't worry so much about the title and thumbnail, quality content will get seen.' That is just not true. Having eye-catching and engaging titles and thumbnails can make a 5x or 10x difference in the viewership of a video. We pour countless hours of work into the tiniest details of these videos, but if we don't get the title and thumbnail right, then many fewer people will see it. That's why your input is so important.

2021-06-08 13:56:16 +0000 UTCDerek, you taught us about our biases too much to ask questions like this. I'd click on any of your videos, even if it had a black rectangle for its thumbnail. Or pink. Or one filled with random color noise. 100% A, 100% B, neither is more likely for me. I understand this is the only place you can ask this question, but the both sad and wonderful truth is, it's the only wrong place to ask this question! :)
