NEW VIDEO [Unpaid Post]: Intermediate Axis Theorem Explained Intuitively

I have long been fascinated by the intermediate axis theorem and I've come across it a few times when I wasn't expecting it. Here I think we've animated the best intuitive explanation of the effect.

Huge thanks to Patrons who reviewed an early draft of this video and provided very helpful feedback. I tried to incorporate it as much as possible.

NEW VIDEO [Unpaid Post]: Intermediate Axis Theorem Explained Intuitively

It's really striking how an additional few sentences at 8:40 on how the large masses constrict motion will clarify why the flip occurs. This half-turn has to occur along the 1st/smallest axis (within the rotating frame), since the inertia of the large masses inhibit new rotations along the third/largest axis.
