Sneak Peek! (And/or help me finish this thing)

I don't normally show videos before they're done but this one is an exception. Here's a video about what you're really looking at when you see an image of a black hole. It's done in arts and crafts style.

I'd love to get your feedback. What do you like/hate? Is there anything that doesn't make sense.

If you don't want the final video spoiled, please don't watch this, but if you're interested and want to offer some suggestions, I'm editing now so now is a good time.

Thanks!

yeah, so light coming in inline with the photon sphere is bent towards the black hole by the warped spacetime before it reaches the photon sphere, hence it can't orbit and gets sucked in. Please check out the new version of the video which has animation on this point, which might help.

I loved the model after it was fully built and working the way you knew it would the whole time. Up until then, when you were holding the shadow (there's a phrase I never expected to use) and using your hands to show light paths I was thinking to myself "this would be better shown with an animation"... but then the ending came and the model was great! So I guess, if animation was quick and/or cheap I would say use that instead of showing the assembly of the model, but I'd wager it is neither of those things, and in that case I'm glad you went with the physical prop, even though it made following the light paths part a little more challenging.
