NEW VIDEO! The best and worst prediction in science...

... are both based on the same underlying theory of virtual particles.

I got obsessed with this idea two years ago and I interviewed some of my favourite physicists including Nobel Laureate Brian Schmidt and Caltech Prof. Sean Carroll. Then I  wanted to do a really good job of this video so I put it on hold until I had some time, which is now. So I'm really proud of this video and I think it highlights one of the key discrepancies in science that might be solved in our lifetimes.

Maybe the virtual particles theory is just a mind trick for us to understand the reality

I love it when a scientists says "We don't know..." If you think virtual particles are more imaginary than real, try to define what a field is! ;o) The problem always is we are trying to describe new phenomena using old paradigms. We are starting to learn that particles may be a dead end in these types of discussions (but not others). And, like the ether, which had to be there because we couldn't imagine a wave-like phenomenon without some media for it to be in, many of these things will be jettisoned, if not shortly, soon. The undefinable "field" may be going soon as it serves much the same role as the ether did for light.
