STEP by STEP : Hotep & Zidane (please read <3 )

↑ the 3 first pictures are the very first roughfrom Zidane's idea! each sketch was done in ~5 minutes (or less), that's why they are very messy! but the idea is still readable
↑ then I've put them all into 1 strip and rework the sketch, really close of the final result
↑ here, the sketch is almost as clean as a lineart, so I've ad the flat colors, and colored the "line" to create some soft vibes. The challenge was to make the clear fur of Zidane contraste a bit with the white wool.
↑ The final result here! the shade and light bring more life <3 the subject was about the warmness and comfiness, so I've choose a soft color gradient for the ambiant background
So! I hope you will enjoy this little step by step! I will do more in the future to talk about the way I add shading!
