Carnage Quest and plans for 2018!

The reason why there hasn't been an update is because as much as I tried tinkering with it and getting to like the visual novel format, I just couldn't really get into it. There's something about the linearity of visual novels that to me just didn't feel 'gamey' enough. In theory it's an awesome type of game for artists, because it's very art heavy, right? But it also requires really good storytelling and writing skills, both of which I do not have :D at all! And so I started teaching myself Unity, a powerful 3d engine. And that's the way Carnage Quest will be going!

That's the style I'll be going for, but of course more grim and dark and rainy. The main world will be blocky and pixelish (easy to draw, and animate), with interactions bringing up clean and polished art of the characters. You'll actually be able to run around the town, and talk to characters while you try to get to the bottom of a series of gruesome bdsm-type murders done by a secretive occult group. And throughout the journey you'll kind of have to figure out wether you want to do good or evil :) it's gonna be awesome, I really can't wait to see it coming together!
Eventuall I'm hoping to get enough funding on Patreon to allow me to do games (not just Carnage Quest) full time. That would be such a dream come true. And with your generous support I'll get there, some time! Every bit helps as it increasingly lowers my dependance on commissioned work to get by. And $100, while not a lot, is a first milestone!
