Late Night thoughts

Tbh children aren't even that big a problem - they jump at you with their full character, which makes identifying them a lot easier - the problem are mostly grown ups I don't see 9 hours a day... when I was working in a kindergarten for 6 months during covid we had to accompany the children individually from the 3rd floor to the door with one college remaining in the classroom - I could not for the live of me recognize even one parent, which got me scolded at regularly (I didn't know yet back then about the diagnosis) - even if a parent got to come in as an exception, it's terrible asking them which child is theirs... And even now that I know why I can't it's just unrealistic expecting everyone to understand - they'll definetly think I'm unprofessional...

i won’t say much since it’s not my places to sympathise and try to relate but i will give the only real idea i can which is to find a unique distinction in people, wether by the tone and structure of their voice, certain physical traits that stand out like for me my massive scar on my arm or for other people birthmarks, scars, markings and other unique physical qualities you can pick out, simple things like styles, common accessories (bag, rings, bracelets, shoes, ect) and possible maybe creating a little social tree on who they usual come with wether it be acquaintances, friends, or family, i know all of this is easier said than done but i believe you are capable of such things and i have no doubt you will have many ideas and people with ideas or overall loving support to back you up, so don’t let it get too much to your head, don’t over think it, work around it, don’t let it knock and keep you down, and most of all don’t forget your not alone

That sounds rough, you seem very passionate about teaching and it would such a shame to give up your dream, a dream you have worked so hard to archive, if you can't recognize faces what if the students wore a name tag? Its a little thing that could help you? I'm not sure about the inclusivety are were you live but would that be possible for a future work place?
