Mientras termino el siguiente plano, os voy dejando por aquí alguno de los que he ido dibujando en este tiempo. Este es un encargo que me hicieron para regalárselo a un amigo muy fan de Tolkien en general y los hobbits en particular. Al que le agradezco enormemente haber dado permiso para hacerlo público.

Como veis es un smial (una típica casa hobbit) dibujado en un etilo de 'falso isométrico' con una perspectiva muy forzada para darle un toque irreal. La textura del suelo con la vetas dispuestas de forma radial es un intento de reforzar esa perspectiva. Para la paleta he elegido unos colores suaves y sobrios, alejados de las estridencias que tan poco gustan a esa apacible y hogareña raza. Y aderezado aquí y allá con detalles de la vida y gustos de la persona que lo iba a recibir.

Todo ello acompañado de una cita del maestro (el profesor Tolkien, ¿quién sino él?) que creo está más de actualidad que nunca en estos tiempo 'interesantes' que vivimos.

While I finish the following map, I will leave you here some of those that I have been drawing at this time. This is a commission I was made for a friend, a huge fan of Tolkien in general and hobbits in particular. To which I greatly appreciate having given permission to make it public.

As you can see it is a smial (a typical hobbit house) drawn in a 'false isometric' style with a very forced perspective to give it an unreal touch. The texture of the soil with the veins arranged radially is an attempt to reinforce that perspective. For the palette I have chosen soft and sober colors, away from the shrillness that this gentle and homey breed likes so little. And seasoned here and there with details of the life and tastes of the person who was going to receive it.

All this accompanied by a quote from the teacher (Professor Tolkien, who but him?) Which I think is more current than ever in these "interesting" times that we live.
