Character Options Munching

Hi gang!

Hope you're all doing as well as you can be. In the next few hours, if everything goes according to plan, a new DDB Importer version will drop including an alpha release for munching in Feats, Backgrounds, and Classes & Class Features in bulk.

There will be some rapid improvements to Class Advancements and some adjustments to support the new feature advancements.

This will be released to GOD tier initially.

When will this come to other Patreon tiers? It will be coming to the Undying tier soon (TM) but stability needs to be improved, and some new infrastructure needs deploying. If all goes well later this month.

How do I access it? In the Muncher tool, click on Munch and then Characters. There will be buttons to import Feats, Backgrounds and Classes. Many backgrounds and Classes now grant Feats, so import those first. As always, make sure you have munched Spells and Items first. This tool will respect the Source filtering you have setup for the Muncher.

How does it work? This feature needs a character it can change, we call this a Mule. The importer will add and remove classes and features etc in order to capture the required data. It will then sort through the results and import the required data. Needless to say this takes some considerable time. Please keep your browser window in focus and have patience.

Known Issues

• You will have to delete/recreate your DDB Classes compendium if it already contains classes, as there is a new folder structure.

• Advancements are not complete, especially for choice options like Battle Master Maneuvers.

• Species munch is not yet ready for humans. Currently the coding kobolds are working hard on this, and expect an update in the next couple of weeks bringing support.

• There is some instability in the proxy elements of this, and the software will enforce small category based munching. Sometimes it might crash, please try again after a few minutes, and if you are still having issues try limiting the source categories to narrow down the cause.

• Optional Features from TCoE are not yet imported
