A Doll, Kneeling

Your doll knelt before you. Hands resting on its knees, palms facing upwards. Its blank glassy eyes were so peaceful, so serene. Its breathing was soft. This was your doll at rest. With a single word, from you, your doll rose up a little, presenting its body for inspection.
You walked around it, taking care to pay attention to the way it was presenting itself. The sweet, intoxicating beauty before you was making it hard to be patient. A part of you wanted to begin playing. But this was an important step before that.
You had to know that your doll was in perfect condition, and, as you came back to its front, you could see that it was. You smiled down at it, and it vacantly, dimly, grinned back. You reached out, pulling its head up so that it was looking you in the eyes.
In the blank eyes of your doll, you could see many things, submission, obedience, pleasure, bliss. But one thing stood above all others. A desire, a lingering need. A need to please, to be useful. It flickered beneath the surface of the eyes. On the surface of the soul.
It was ready. And so were you. You had been waiting to play with your toy all afternoon, and now, it was finally time. You knelt down before it, and gave the instruction for it to mirror you. As you got to work, you heard its breath quickening. You were both going to enjoy this.
