Plan

You've come up with a plan to resist your hypnotist's trance. It'll work. Right?

* * *

“You’ve talked a lot about how you’re going to be able to resist my words toy, wrapping themselves around your mind. Are you sure you’ve got this?” Your hypnotist smirked down at you. Now you were about to begin, you weren’t sure. But you had a plan.

You smiled back up at them. “I’m sure. I’m not going to sink into relaxation, my eyelids aren’t going to flutter. I can resist closing my eyes and going under.” Your response made them laugh, gently.

“Okay, toy. If you’re sure. Are you ready to begin?”

“Ready when you are.”

The hand held spiral began to spin before your eyes, and they began. “So, you want to try to resist, do you? We both know that your mind is so very easily controlled by me. So very easily twisted, and turned around by my pretty pretty words. Are you sure you even want to resist?”

You nodded, eyes locked onto the spiral. You fought those feelings of heaviness, of relaxation. You had to stick to the plan. You had been practicing. You knew how to keep your eyes open. How to stop your body from letting go into relaxation. Your hypnotist laughed again.

“Oh? You’re sure? But you’re paying such good attention to my words. To my sweetly spinning spiral. I bet you want to watch more, don’t you?” Your head nodded once before you caught yourself, and stopped it. Maybe they hadn’t noticed?

“I think you do, toy. I think you want to keep watching so much, that you can feel your eyes getting stuck on the spiral. Stuck open. Stuck like they’re being held open. Unable to close, except to blink. Almost feeling them opening a little more, so you don’t miss anything.”

You felt it happening, and maybe this is when you should have realised that something was wrong with your plan. But you only knew that you had to stick to the plan. Even as your eyes grew wide, and stiff. Locked with laser focus onto the spiral, spinning your thoughts away.

“And you’re clearly paying such good attention to my soft words, and my spinning spiral. Look at your posture! Such a good toy for me, hanging onto everything I say. You can feel your body locking in place, can’t you? Getting more and more still. Not relaxing, not moving.”

You could. It was too late to stop it. Your muscles felt like they were locked in place. Unable to move, other than to adjust. “That’s it, toy. Now you’re stuck, watching the spiral, and listening to my words. You were right. Your body won’t relax. Your eyes won’t close. I win.”
