Their voice wraps around your mind and pulls. Pulls at your thoughts. Your attention. Dragging you to your knees. Dragging you down. Into submission. Your body no longer your own. Your mind no longer your own. But really, how long has it been since your mind was your own?
They let you have control of your body, doing the tasks you need to do in your day-to-day life. But your mind? Your mind so often and so easily comes back to them. To the mantras they have put in your head. To the control they have over you.
It circles back around and around, caught in a spiral of daydreams. Or are they memories? Of trances and sessions once had but quickly erased from your memory. You can’t tell. You don’t mind. They pulled you down, but you chose to stay submerged in this submission.
