Think carefully

Now, when encountering a magician, a witch, or wizard, it’s important to think very carefully, before you accept anything that they offer for you to drink.
No matter how sweet it smells.
How much your mouth waters.
Really take your time to think.
Just breathing in the aroma of the drink. The vapour that’s starting to make you feel a bit light headed.
A bit fuzzy.
And that, coupled with their syrupy voice, is making all of your thoughts stick and clump together.
So that when they ask you to take a drink, it’s so hard to think of reasons not to? The smell alone is making you tingle with delight, so what’s the harm in taking a sip? A sip couldn’t hurt.
It tastes delicious, and it makes your mind feel so good, so mushy. So of course you’ll take another sip!
And another.
And one more.
And… Oh no. The cup’s empty now.
And your mind feels so floaty, untethered. Their voice is all that’s holding you to reality. And as they continue to talk, it begins to pull you in. Tethering you to them, their new pet.
