OCT UPDATE 2/2 KOISHI PROJECT/ IWBTWR

Hi! Happy Halloween! I hope everyone's celebrating today with a lot of candy!

As you noticed both of the updates for this month have both been the Koishi Project, there are multiple reasons to this but I also would like some of your opinions on certain themes in the comic

Afterwards I'll give a summary of what've been doing for the rest of the update! I'll go in depth on some of the Koishi Project progress and show some updated backgrounds.

I WAS BORN TO WORK RETAIL

I've been really hesitant writing IIWBTWR this month due to a number of factors

Firstly I've been really occupied with finishing off the existing animation project, I feel like the Koishi Project has become such a time crunch it's starting to affect parts of my life timewise. So I'm trying to get it finished as soon as possible so I can put much more attention back into IWBTWR when it's all well and done.

Second, Dyslexitard was received so well last month that I honestly am kind of scared to finish it off. I said before that the current small story was only the first part of a two part story. These dyslexic stories are based off of personal experience and with so many eyes on the first part, I'm stressed with how the second part will preform. When I mean "preform" I don't mean in a numbers way, I mean in a "oh shit this twist is outrageous and this author needs to be lynched" type of way lol

When Jenny was created she was never supposed to represent such a deep personal aspect of me. She was a go-lucky fun loving positive inducing person who would drag her other friends on misadventures because she was such a fun loving person. She's supposed to represent the joy of not being bound by responsibility

Over time as I grew up, she grew up besides me as well. I feel like she has been beaten by the world and I can't help but see so much of this comes from me venting my frustrations into her as a character.

I'll have the chapter out soon, I just have to get my shit together and understand that people just want to see my artwork and the opinion is subjective. Maybe untimately it's such a personal problem that weighs on me so much that I have to take more active steps outside the comic to fix it in my every day life. Dyslexia, talking to people with grammatical mistakes, how asian society perceives outsiders...

On a side note! I have something very special planned with Tanger!

It would be my first Youtube upload about IWBTWR previewing something I really would like to do in the future after the Koishi Project is over. So keep an eye out for announcements or on the Youtube channel!

Koishi Project

There's an eye problem going on in the Koishi Project right now.

A lot of the previous scenes are missing Koishi's third eye, so I spent some time going back to add it back in. Also patching up all the small animation errors like Koishi's eyebrows being missing/ Sanae's hair being a different color before I move on the rehauling some of the major animations. Including the climax animation which has three large Koishis towering over a tiny Koishi

+etc etc etc you get the point lol

Background update:

Previous background looked muddy and unfinished. The colors were too saturated and messy. So9 we had to redo the whole thing.

What the fuck?

Well that's it for this month! See you all soon!!

Love you all! Thank you for the support again! Gonna use some of the Patreon donations into fixing some problems with the current drawing tablet so we'll see how that goes as well!

Part of what makes Jenny so interesting is that the childhood version of her that we see in the comic isn't the real childhood Jenny but instead a self interpretation through the lense of a Jenny who is beat up and worn down. Maybe why Dyslexitard ended on such a devastating note is because it's chronologically the earliest example of the go-lucky Jenny the ghost/imaginary version is based on getting worn down in this way. I can understand your worry though. Follow ups are hard, and Dyslexitard was a gamble to begin with. But the gamble paid off, because people connected with the message. As long as the twist doesn't betray or undercut the grounded nature of the first part's message, I think you'll be fine. Or you can go full blown crazy with the twist and reveal that childhood Jenny killed the other manager twin!!! :O Prison arc??? But being serious again, nice work on the Kioshi Project. The improved background has a greater sense of depth which I think benefits the scene a lot. I know you have lots of ideas for stuff to do after it's done, but I know it means a lot to you so don't kill yourself to finish it.
