October Update (1/2): Koishi Project

Hi!! Welcome to another Koishi update! I am currently in London seeing my sister's graduation. About to head out and work in a pub and see how it's like! I will be grinding more on this project when I'm back in HK so there will be more updates between now and the next IWBTWR update coming later.

Hopefully it will be finished by the end of November, it's not a set date, but it's a goal I'm trying to reach right now. I hope to get it all done and finally move on to another ambitious project after a break. I've been doing some reflection on myself and want to exercise more due to having such a sedetary lifestyle for the past three years.

The 7th segment is finished but there still is the 6th segment left.

Koishi in the 7th segment is confronting a grown up Sanae who has grown apart from her as her imaginary friend. Sanae of course is scared to approach her as she hasn't seen her in years. Sanae slowly realises that Koishi has cut her own eye out. Losing her only friend, Koishi is doomed to become an unconcious being foreve.

In the 6th segment she's confronting her own desire to become an uncouncious being. All Koishi wanted was to become friends with people, but her nature as a Satori has prevented her from being close to anyone because she could hear all of their thoughts through her third eye. She's at the crux of stabbing out her third eye so that she doesnt have to hear all of these thoughts again.

An issue I've encountered is Koishi's third eye having it's own personaity seperate from Koishi's personality. As the eye has it's own movements when displaying personality and it's really finicky when positioning it. I would have to design a lot of poses to have some empty spaces so I could fit her third eye into key Koishi animation poses.

Another issue is one of the scenes where Koishi is hugging a group of kids. The kids when they're not near the group of children are considered their own animated entity seperate from the Koishi group entity when she's hugging a child. The indiviual children when impacting the main animation figure will also have to have an effect on it. Like when one child hugs into the group hug they would be morphed into the group as well. I would have to be accurate with the animation timing for it to sell it well.
