Alfie ending colored + misc updates

Edit: For some reason this post got restricted due to showing sexually gratifying works. I had to switch it to paid members only. I have no idea why it was tagged, and I don't feel like contacting patreon help centre so it's going to stay paid members exclusive.

Time for a bit of an update!

My hand is getting better. Between an exercise schedule that actually works and better ergonomics I can work at about 60-70% of my past capacity now, as long as it's split between drawing and writing about equally. I feel that, in time, that number will go up even higher.

I am pretty sure that whatever is happening to my hand is mostly Repetitive Stress Injury and not some deeper issue that requires surgery. The upside is that I won't be getting any surgeries and that RSI is not fixed by resting, so I can keep working hehe. Downside is that, the issues that I have are caused by the way I've worked for years. I can't go on like I used to.

After I finish the Alfie Epilogue chapter I don't think I'll be drawing comics ever again. I love to tell stories, especially long form ones, but comics are a terrible way of doing that if you need to take it easier. They're simply too much work if you mean to release pages at a steady pace, and I sure as hell don't intend to do a page every other week. I don't fancy taking a year to do a simple short chapter. I have a lot of ideas I'd like to see realize and I don't fancy a snail pace.

I think I'll be going all in on writing illustrated stories both long and short. It's so much easier and faster than drawing comics! I love it. How do you feel about my recent efforts at combining illustrations and writing? I fear that it may be the only way I have to do storytelling left to me.

Now that you've had more opportunities to read my writing, what do you think? It's a pretty big shift in this patreon's direction... If anybody messages me requesting a refund I am happy to give it, even for annual subscriptions.

The recent vote driven story is giving me ideas for future projects that combine writing and illustration. GrimLewd 2.0 written as an actual LitRPG with stats and such? The Invitation sequel written as a novel? An actual choose your own adventure game written in Twine? I am excited for the future.

Specific project updates:

Alfie: I've finished coloring the end of chapter 18, as you can see by the images attached to this post.

All that's left to do is the epilogue chapter! To be honest I am dreading working on it for reasons outlined above. I am considering working on it slowly in the background, without pressure of deadlines and releasing it all at once when it's finished in a couple of months. Would that be better than drip-feeding pages one by one? Let me know what you think.

Nun n Witch story: I am not sure what to do about this one. I really don't want to draw more comics, but this one was right in the middle of the story. I could finish it as a short story, but that's lame as fuck.

I Will Never Forgive You: chapters 3 and 4 are a two parter so I wrote both of them at the same time. That's why it's been such a long wait. Chapter 3 should be released sometime next week, chapter 4 the week after. I really love writing these two women.

Puazi VDS: We're going strong with this one. I am enjoying working on the orange freaks again. Writing simple smut is interesting. It's a challenge to come up with a way to say "And then the penis shoot out cum into the pussy" without it sounding repetetive.

You have created an outstanding story with so many species, quiet unique. Is there a chance you will make a gazetteer for Alfie's World? I am such a sucker for worlds...

The Curious One

Love it! I've been following this comic for years and it feels so good to see it's ending so beautiful. Thank you thank you thank you for such a journey and inspiration. Take care of yourself!

Koko

LitRPG in the InCase literotic universe?! Yes please!!!

Jam

Wow, I am glad to see that it came to a somewhat amicable ending between the two of them. Just out of curiosity (I'm sure someone asked this) but will chapters 15-18 be compiled into more comprehensive archives in the near future?

R. Alexander Spoerer

I want the physical version please consider the the possibility of doing this

Paradoxx

It's great to hear that you are finding you footing, and I have to say that your writing is as good as your drawing! I was not expecting to see the same quality, with such a change of medium, but it has been great. I would say that releasing Alfie's epilogue all together si for the best. And, could be an idea to next do the same with the rest of Nun n Witch. It would be a way for you to conclude that one too, without being pressured by any deadlines. You do it when feel fine to do it, and can focus on the writing the rest of the time. And hearing the possibility of more GrimLewd is music to my hears!

Profeta

I've always thought that you've been at your absolute strongest when combining both word and drawing, and your recent increase in written word has only reinforced that opinion. Honestly, if you did nothing but write stories until you had text attached to every piece you've ever made, I would still be incredibly happy. I hope you can continue to draw though, your artwork is *amazing*. If you completed WitchNun in the same style as Grimlewd or "I will Never Forgive You", I would be very happy :3

Contryssa

I am absolutely here for the written word, with just as much enthusiasm as I've had for your comics — maybe even moreso, you're a fantastic storyteller, and prose allows for so much depth of narrative. I'll definitely still be here! 💯

e.a.rowe

I vote that you wrap up the Alfie Epilogue at your own pace and then release it all at once! I like your illustrated stuff so I am excited to see how this progresses. It will be sad to see your comics go, but the pacing of the craft isn’t sustainable and I’m sorry to see how it has affected you.

Ariel H

I understand why you need to switch for your body's health, and preventing injuries is 100% the most important thing. To be honest though, I'm really only interested in the artwork/ comics, so if patreon switches to just writing I'll likely just drop.

Starry

I've been supporting you for so long, you could start posting music and I would probably still stick around. Do your art the way that works for you

Hedgebug

Big fan of the illustrated stories, honestly. Seems like a good use of your now-limited illustration spoons! It adds a lot to the storytelling you're doping, which is honestly quite good. I'm married to an author myself (who is not shy about writing smut herself), and tbh, you do it really well. I'm up for continuing the journey as your patron, absolutely.

Gert Sønderby

Glad to hear your hand is doing better. And you have already shown how good a writer and storyteller you are. So illustrated stories in the future are a pleasure to me.

The Curious One

I honestly think a release in one go is for the best

Omegasybers

So good to see them again! Makes me want to re-start the entire thing (for, like, the upteenth time) from the very first.

Michael Steamweed

😭😭😭😭😭 It's so good, and I'll be so sad to see it go!

Sengachi

Oh, forgot to say in my previous comment, but: "GrimLewd 2.0 written as an actual LitRPG with stats and such?" YES, either that or actually developing it out as a proper RPG system with a lot of written setting material. :D

Ariamaki

I'm enjoying the written content quite a bit, and I think the various mixes you've hit on over time have all had potential. My personal favorites are still the Journals of the Hunter, and I believe a format like that one but with a more writing-heavy ratio could be really good stuff!

Ariamaki

I loved your comics and I love your writing!!! "I Will Never Forgive You" is amazing and I can't wait to see more of your creative writing and accompanying illustrations! Thank you for honoring your body and taking care of yourself so we can see more of your work🫡

Tali Ramirez

Thank you for this. The ending was perfect.

Ralts Bloodthorne

The stories have been fantastic, so I'm all for more of those.

Fukata

I am a long time follower. I'm sad that you have decided to stop doing comics, but your body has spoken and you must listen to it. I've read your stories and they're pretty good. Here for the long run!

Wren

I think your plan of doing stories with a few illustrations is the way to go long term. I think you should release the end of Alfie all in one go, but once it is finished you should be sure to tease it some before release so hype builds. I personally would love for you to finish the nun story, I am into it and think it is worth slowly finishing properly with comics.

Askance

I think it's better to release the Alfie epilogue all in one go. It's the big end to the series. It's better to let it cook until you are sure it's all good. Also, a slow drip of pages would rob some of the dramatic weight from the reading experience.

Joshua Wolfe

Like everyone else, I fully support you doing all of your work as written stories with single illustrations to accompany. Doing comics is a tough thing and other professionals have it hard as well, so don't feel guilty about that. As for future projects, I think doing a litRPG is an interesting idea, but one you'd wanna really think about those stat logistics first. Maybe look at ones you like and see how those fair with what you're thinking about for a player experience. Puazi are always fun and giving other folks more information to work off of is a good idea for others to make their own fanart/work. If you ever want to collaborate with other artists on projects, that's also an avenue you can think of later on once you find your stride. Just a thing to think about.

David Burrola

I think I'm saying the same thing that everyone else has. I will of course be disappointed to see the end of long format comic story telling, you're pretty damn awesome at it. However the disappointment is because I wanna see all the 10 drawings of different combinations of sex partners in the comic vs the one drawing in the illustrated story. I'm greedy - sue me ;) But you're not switching to illustrated story telling because you've gotten bored with comics, you're literally damaging your hand by over work. I'll get over the disappointment, and I'll love every story you publish.

Lee Johnson

Grimlewd 2.0 would be amazing to read in that format! And the idea of a Twine game in any of your settings is one I can only hope for!

Silent_Goddess

I’m glad you’re getting your hand back in working order. I’m also glad that you’ve found an alternative to your storytelling methods for the future. However, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t just a bit disappointed with you not doing comics anymore. It’s the reason I followed your patreon to begin with, and to see that end now is understandable because of your health, but also disheartening due to how much I enjoyed them. I like your writing, as I think you’re an excellent descriptor who can put art with the things you write about, but the writing itself wasn’t the reason I signed up for the patreon. I’ll still follow you for your work, and completely understand why you have made this decision, so don’t let that get in the way. Your content is excellent regardless.

Call Me ET

I agree with everyone about keeping up the text stories.

Kenneth Glaldden

I fully support whatever you decide to do to keep your health up. Health is the most important thing. I love your content whatever form it comes in. So keep that in mind as I say this next part. No pressure to keep the comic up if don't want to, but I would love for the Midlife Crisis story to continue in whatever form you feel is best. I need to know how that story plays out.

BoomstickN7

Sad you won't be able to do comics any more. DON'T make a game though, that's a black hole you'll never escape

Alfons

It'll be much easier to read your stories in public in word form! I adore your comics and illustrations and will be ready to enjoy it again when you feel healthy and feel inclined to. Also really glad you're able to avoid surgery, please consider massage therapy or reflexology to help the tissues recover if you haven't already!

theycallmemiyagi

Glad to hear about the hand progress and the lack for surgery! Also love the new style, great story telling skills and love to get to still see bits of your drawn art along with your written kind. Keep up the great work!

Shannon

I honestly do love your illustrated writing projects and your one page stories like the extended Puazi. Do what feels good! You've got a lot of back catalogue that new and old readers can enjoy. So glad to get the final chapter on these two. I know I'm in the minority but I don't care too much about all the other characters stories cause those guys are at their beginnings. This was the story that I've been waiting to see come to fruition and it means a lot to me personally. I fucking love Alfie and Vera's complicated relationship.

Ray M

I've dabbled a bit in Twine, and would love to see what you could come up with! There's so much potential there, and it's pretty lightweight but fun to learn. I remember stumbling across The Invitation, then finding Alfie and I've just loved your work since. You have a way with storytelling that's hard to find and I'd love to see how it continues to evolve!

Aehdncl

I originally subbed for Grimlewd so I'd love more in that world. I think it would be really cool to get a choose your own adventure in the world. But even more I think if you are really into making a text adventure, maybe you could make one in the style of Trials in Tainted Space, Dryad Quest, Corruption of Champions II. Those are text based RPGs that require low amounts of art, just NPC busts and a player paper doll and maybe not even that. This would allow you to primarily just write, and make just the NPC busts. And on occasion you could add an illustration to a scene. Some have suggested a Visual Novel but I think even that is maybe too much art. Where as this can be relatively low on that art side of things. But high on the writing and world building side!

MilkManMD

I love your current work a lot. The idea of leaving the epilogue till its finished seems like a great way to approach It. And all I ask is that the Nun and Witch story gets an ending, it would be a shame to leave those characters.

Funduffy900

You have to take care of your body so do what makes the most sense for that. I like the illustrated novel format you are developing.

Matt Hope

I have to admit I will am sad to think no more long-form comics like Alfie, because it is the most glorious example of that form I've ever seen. But I know you need to do what fits you, and stop doing what hurts. I wish you good luck in everything you do. I'd like to see more GrimLewd, and Pauzi. Those things fit my tastes better. And in your illustrated stories - maybe a touch more illustration? Please? (groveling, fawning, etc.) PS: Thank you for putting up with me befouling your web site with my stuff for all these years. It was a lot of fun for me and I really appreciate being given the freedom.

Grendel's Stepmother

I'm glad to hear that you're continuing to recover and that the outlook is (relatively) good! I'm a big Alfie fan, and I'd say that working on the epilogue at your own pace and dropping it all at once might be the most satisfying payoff, as well as easier on you. I'd love to see more of the Witch and Nun comic, but if you can't do it, you can't.

Joshua Ohmer

I would prefer a big drop of the Alfie epilogue once it's colored. I think witch and nun would be another one to work on in the background after Alfie and drop once it's done. I really like your stories with illustrations. It's very hot.

Blaize Storm

I signed up primarily for grimlewd, but there’s a lot of fun stuff here. If you’re open to different formats, how about visual novel with some light animations? That would combine lower-volume illustration, writing, and something new to explore.

Sogni Scuri

People have been trying to make "in and out" interesting from 3rd person since cave paintings. You do it better than most.

Chris Giesy

You still got my support. Since your illustrations are still absolutely fantastic, and the writing I think let's you tackle story telling from another angle.

Nicholas Feltner

Hi, Alfie make me join you a donť regret. Since than a think read all of your work and don't really care if you switch to writing. I myself am writing at small pace mostly for myself. I would prefer if you release it all at once, but whatever you choose, I will probably read it when its done. Same with Nun n Witch, would be nice to have it all draw, even to be it release in year ot tow :) Can't wait for more of your stories. Grimlewd LitRPG? Hell YEAH!!!!

Lukáš Patera

I'll still support you, Im really enjoying the short stories and we'll still get to experience your lovely art style with the illustrations.

Clutch

Whatever excites you most will make for the best art! As for the epilogue, I am resolutely agnostic on drip-feed vs all at once. Whatever minimizes the pressure on you. I wouldn't mind drip-feed without deadlines either, just a happy surprise here and there.

Umbra Solaris

I've been loving your alternate content, and so I don't there's any need to keep a steady drip of the Epilogue. We're going to keep loving your stuff, whatever you're able to make without risking your health, and when the epilogue is ready, it'll be a fantastic and delightful surprise

OftenSane

Personally I'm here for your visual storytelling. I do feel for your poor hand though so I'll give your written stories a chance.

HertzaHaeon

Alfie... I came for the smut. I stayed for... also the smut, but the story, too. It's a great story about identity, how it's very complex, and that many people's identities are formed through many interactions and evolve multiple times in their lives. And the ending, it reminds me of how I felt later in life with my own mother, and now I'm crying thinking about her final days but happy that I can have memories about her. All to say that you are a great writer, and that keeps me around. So... keep doing stuff. It gets me off and I enjoy the storytelling. Even without the visuals, it's still hot as hell and well written.

Chocolate Stickyboy, no fluff

I love your comics, and while the porn is a fun part of that, what I love THE MOST about your storytelling is the character development and world building (which you are so??? fucking good?!?! at intertwining with the smut!!!) I'll miss your comics, but I'm still happy with illustrated stories, especially if you go in the direction of world building and complex characters over short smut pieces. Grimlewd especially would be cool to see! And I would happily read a straight up novel for The Invitation's sequel, the voice you use for that story is incredible.

Mandy Wright

I think it's a great idea! I love comics, but sometimes you only really need a few key illustrations to bring a story to life, and your work so far doing that has been great.

TPRJones

Glad to hear you are doing better! Tbh i don't mind the way you do your wonders i enjoy your craft in all ways. I just hope you won't fully stop drawing coz i fell in love with you art a long time ago. Even if you do, i will cherish your created art and support you whatever way you take. Just make sure it makes YOU happy :)

Ivett Opolcsik

That being said yes I believe a twine-based game with your art as graphics would be a marvelous compromise.

straycat74

Great news about your hand, definitely do all you should to ensure full recovery! Your writing is fab so please don’t stress about it, your illustrated stories are incredible content in their own right for sure! Good erotica is hard to find 😭

Sam

really excited by the idea of grimlewd 2.0 cause for me the world building and systems where always the biggest draw compared to the art and god what i wouldn't give for a sequel to the Invitation

Green Sea

I would personally prefer for the epilogue to be released all at once because I usually wait a month or two, or sometimes more, before checking on alfie anyway so it would be nice to just know when it’s all ready. As for your writing, the style and tone are right up my alley so I’m glad you’re enjoying it and sticking with it! Very excited for some longer, more involved series, I know you have a good one in you. A grimlewd prose comeback would be very cool to see.

causticjuice

Your writing is amazing! I feel like through it I can imagine the scenes in your art style which is awesome! I think leaving Alfie as a background project would be a good idea personally... Also the return of grimlewd would be so awesome, especially as a litrpg. Glad your hand is doing better!

Saint Nick

NnnnnNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I understand the reasons I truly do but I am sorely going to miss the format. I absolutely adored the comics, and I'm sorry but even stories with a couple of illustrations tossed in just aren't going to have the same impact.

straycat74

Alfie has been an incredible ride and an amazing effort. I heartily appreciate you for it. I'm sad to hear it has had lasting damage, but it sounds like you're recovering slowly, so hopefully in time it will ease up. I'll miss seeing you do comics, certainly on the scale of Alfie. I hope it's not too greedy to hope you will continue to still do art pieces, or something shorter form like the CYOA stuff, but it is also entirely understandable if not too. Stuff on your own timescales as one shot passion projects wtihout the expectations of an epic like this. Even so, a litRPG sounds really fun too if you are up for that. Take all the time you need with the Epilogue chapter. Every post will be a pleasent suprise every time it comes out, and without the pressure of deadlines hopefully is something you can focus on enjoying rounding out the story, rather than it being a daunting burden. Art should never be burdensome. I'll look forward to what ever you decide to pivot to, and again thank you for bringing us Alfie 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

Quadrant

An Incase CYOA game with your art would be incredible, that sounds like a ton of fun!

Plastic

My support was for the comics, and I would be happy to keep it even if your output is super slow. But if you switch to only art and writing, I'm ver sorry but I'll have to stop it.

Ignacio Calvo Martínez

Litrpg of grimlewd i believe would be financially good as well.

M H

Thank you, Incase. Alfie was a tremendous work, but I'm saddened to hear it caused or exacerbated an actual injury for you :(

Leaf

I really like your writing so far and honestly, I would love to have some short stories set in the "The Invitation" or "Journals of the Hunter" setting. Those are by far my favorites of yours

R. B.

Fair enough, that was a bit unclear upon re-reading. I meant going all in on a combination of writing illustrated stories. The drawings are not going away even if I don't do comics anymore.

InCase

CONGRATULATIONS ON FINISHING ALFIE!!! 🎊🎊 I've been following this comic since the first draft of chapter 1! I've loved every minute of it and it's crazy that it's over!

StephD

I'm a little unclear on the "all in on writing" paragraph, would this mean the end of illustrations totally, or just standalone ones that don't have longer stories attached to them such as the Puazi VDS and I Will Never Forgive You? It would be greatly saddening to not see artwork from you anymore, some of my favorite works of all time are your standalone pieces. But, if it's what you need in order to heal, I understand.

Irastris

Live your truth king! But, being honest, I came here for the comics and the art. Not really much of a reader, but I completely understand it's what you need to do for your health, support you 100% (except financially now)

Beverly_SSGSS

I think I'd prefer you finish the whole epilogue, then put it out. I prefer your visual storytelling, but I agree that sticking with shorter stories like the monster hunter and the puppet is probably better in terms of output.

Jim Sharkey

I was hosting for the Witch and Nun ending ... But dude take your time ... Or write only the other half XD

Andrea Casagrande

Hurrah for the hand and it's recovery. Irregardless of what you future plans are, having your hands functional and pain free is good all by itself.

HARK!

I have been hoping and praying for an RPG to come out of your GrimLewd setting since you first started doing it, so that's my answer on that part.

Drivestort

Ah, an ending. How bittersweet.

yello
