This was such a fun commission. It's a Minnesota romance which means CABIN FUCKIN' (I assume), which is admittedly one of the best parts of living in the midwest.
I love making hyper-specific work. Art suffers when it has to appeal to everyone (lookin' at you Marvel). It requires removing the human fingerprints and sanding down the edges till it's inoffensive and therefore...boring. Specificity allows us to share our worlds and find connection. It's part of why KPop Demon Hunters was so good. We crave specifity, even if it's foreign. So here's a little midwestern specificity.
Also, kudos to me for making a backwards baseball hat (the worst way to wear a hat) look good. I'm a miracle worker.
