I almost spilled my popcorn jumping in my AMC theater seat, this was a goddamn CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE August holy shit 🎥🍿 • This is such a quick moment but it really stuck out to me when he goes, “Not surprised, impressed.” The implication that she was like “oh you surprised?” after she shoots the bad guys just rounded out her character for me and gave her some 👐🏼 pizazz (translation: SHE’S A BADASS 💅🏼😍) • “Security’s when nobody has any secrets right?” I love this line, the irony of them working in security and actually needing secrets to keep that security is so good. • just like the DnD audio, the “we were just acting for the job” aspect is SO hot and fun and sexy. I love how he mentions the lookout and what they were “willing to do” for the mission and how it naturally escalates from there • “What are you doing? Didn’t I say to keep your hands where I can see them?” 😵‍💫 EVERY time I relisten, this part gives me goosebumps. ALSO this is 1000% just me foolin around with the ACU but I love the idea of their next mission being in England and Cardinal’s talking to Starling about the history of the kings and wives and when she asks how he knows so much about it he’s like “Oh I, uh… I did some tutoring in college.” 😶

(Tombstone, Arizona was mentioned in Yeehawgust as a previous location, but we don't know exactly where their train is in "The Wild West"). I love that you chose Rome for this audio, not just because I love Italy so much, but because of Rome's historical connotations of betrayal ("Et tu, Brute?"). Makes me wiggle my eyebrows at the future for these two... Will there be double crossing?? ❌❌ Backstabbing?? 🔪🔪 I'm intrigued! • Aperol Spritzes I'm DYING 🤣🍹 As someone currently living in a large European city, I see neon orange "Aperol Spritz" signs on bars and restaurants everywhere. I've been told they taste like perfume lmao so I'm not keen to try one... Maybe now, though 🤔 • Your purposefully not great Italian? Iconic ✨ • I have to say it: saying "gauche" is so fucking funny... and gauche 🤓😂 • What did she tell him her job was? What job gives her flexibility and had her getting in a cab to get away from a prick? 🤔 (I genuinely want to know haha. And I love that he does/says all of that whilst standing between her thighs, her hands pointing his gun at his groin. His confidence 🥵👏 • The bird codenames are so good 🥹 Also, I hope you used Starling for F on purpose, given that starlings are birds famous for their ability to imitate other birds' calls, human language, even car alarms and other modern technology... Hmm, not exactly. I'm familiar with it because it's such a long-term thing, but most of the people I grew up with can't speak/understand. Unless you grow up in a French-dominant region, you don't really get exposed to the language as a language. When it's taught in school, it's more a series of rules and vocabulary to memorise Yeah, like, most people I know who are proficient in French either studied it to gain proficiency or were raised in a French-dominant region. ALSO, there are elementary/high schools that are called French immersion where you're "immersed" in French throughout the day or for a certain percentage of the day

@Lambda what I wrote is pure Italian pop culture, I’ll try to break it down as much as I can. The easy part: Piegata in due dal ridere -> to split one’s sides laughing. The easy-ish part: Rome has a huge problem with rats (and boars too, but that’s another story) since they’re big and chonky we all call them “Pantegane”. So: Pantegana (singular/feminine) -> sewer rat. The difficult part: Daje is a typical word from the Roman dialect, it roughly means “come on” but it’s used for a variety of things, such as: -an exasperated sense -> A: “I can’t understand this code, can you explain it again?” B: “Aridaje” -as a reply to a proposal -> A:“let’s have a carbonara” B: “daje” -as an incentive -> A: “Daje Alessandro, they’re waiting for you” -the most important one, joy -> When your favourite football team (soccer) scores a goal -> A:”DAJE ROMA”. [Italian pop culture ] the “daje” became popular by the captain of the AS ROMA, Francesco Totti, that would always say it. Now it’s almost a meme by all of us. I grew up in Canada, so that's what I learned in school as well. When I speak Urdu, I'm thinking in it, and I would say I'm fluent in conversational Urdu. I have translated entire movies from Hindi/Urdu to English and vice versa. But if you ask me to translate the news with above 70% accuracy, I would have some difficulty, especially with khaalis/sakeel Urdu (formal Urdu) French is my weakest language. I have limited working proficiency. I can understand it when I'm reading, can write halfway decently, and could probably get by in conversation, but I have a lot of trouble thinking in French. I am translating in my head from English to French when communicating Interlingua is THE COOLEST. I also thought it was Italian at first, but then I was like, why do I understand this? WOAHHHHH there, Dafina the polyglot much? My goodness, that's amazing! TRANSLATIONS French: I can write in French because writing doesn't require immediate or fast replies When I speak in french in real time, I become very nervous and I forget most of my French education. I think because I've grown up with three ish languages (English, Urdu/Hindi, and French), it's easier for me to grasp certain things. I also LOVEEEEE Interlingua and I can understand it to a certain level, so Italian feels easier to me than say German or Dutch. I'm really sorry you felt that way about yourself/your skills. I think you're excellent at explaining! Also, English being your third language is not apparent in your writing. I'm guessing your first two are Italian and Spanish, but let me know if I'm wrong haha

@Lambda I’m crying 😭 thank you so much, I always taught I was terrible at explaining things in my own language let alone in English which is my third language. I worry that someone might not understand what I mean 😪. Anyways I’m super-super happy that you understood something about my language, Italian is not complicated to speak per se, except for the “R”, “GN”, “GH” ,“SC” sounds since there is not equivalent in English. I must say the most complicated part is grammar, we have 21 tenses in the “indicative mood” alone there are 5 tenses to describe something in the past. But it gets even messier with the subjunctive mood. But don’t worry even Italians don’t know how to use those tenses lol

@Ruth I’m literally chuckling out loud with the “dov’è il bagno” . Spanish indeed does help a lot! We often joke about how the Spanish language is basically Italian with an -s at the end. The curse words you listed are basic Italian 101 words, we all use ‘em. But each region has its own type of curse words, because the dialect literally varies from town to town, for example “uccello” (bird) is the lighter version of “cazzo” (cock). There is a specific city in Italy that refers to pussy as “u piccion”(dialect) -> “piccione” (meaning in Italian: pigeon) . About stronzo/a it can be used affectionately, I use it daily with a friend lol, it means “asshole”. Your colleagues loved you since they didn’t taught you the heavy curse words, Tuscans in particular have this way of speaking that is poetic-funny which is amplified when they curse. You’re more than welcome to come back in Italy🥹🥹

Crows are my favourite, yes:). They are extremely clever, and I find them very beautiful. It is not the "obvious" kind of beauty as with peacocks, it's more subtle, something to be discovered. I became obsessed with them as a child after playing "The Longest Journey" which is a point and click adventure game in which the main protagonist, April Ryan, befriends a talking crow. Their interactions are extremely adorable. Ever since then, I have been dreaming about befriending a crow, too :D. But I love all birds. I find them fascinating. I spend a lot of time in nature, especially forests and I do a lot of "birdwatching" there, even though I mainly go there to find mushrooms. Spotting owls makes me very happy. And I once met a kingfisher on my birthday, that was amazing:) I don't use any special equipment though, so I am not sure if I have the "right" to call it birdwatching:).

I've been thinking more about your comment lol because it's so astute. What you said about the speakers' desire for the listener/listener character being so apparent, like for me THAT'S what makes all the audios so achingly hot. It's always clear that the speaker isn't engaging in X behaviour because they just want to get their rocks off, it's because they want to get their rocks off with the listener character. Even with the more 'using you' vibe ones, what's hot for the speaker isn't using someone, it's using specifically the listener character, because they're just sooo desirable for them. At the end of the day we all want to be desired, we all want to drive someone crazy. So what you said about the lack of ego makes so much sense - as a successful VA August is achieving that for himself (or at least I would hope so!), but in his audios the listener reeeaaally gets to feel that way too. And I love that for us 😂

As an Italian, hearing August speak my language is such a wild concept , AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA August, If you’re reading this: your pronunciation is really good just don’t shy away from speaking it, you’re great! In Italian we pronounce each letter except for the “H” that is silent. The language has two nouns: feminine and masculine. Which means that the word “sera” is feminine, so the prefix is “buonA”; on the contrary “giorno” is masculine so we use “buon” instead. So we have this: buonA (fem.) + sera (fem.) buon (masc.) + giorno (masc.) I like how you create situations for the speaker and the listener to physically be in different places. It stops the one-sided nature of the audios seeming out of place. Like I really enjoyed the phone sex or voicemail ones you did early on when you started the account. It’s a clever way of keeping something that is decidedly choreographed feeling real. My new favorite program!! I can’t wait for the Wildflower/Starling crossover episode (M4FF?!) ok sorry sorry I’m getting ahead of myself … Aside from being hot as always this had so many wonderful touches (shhhh brain don’t make a double entendre rn): the rain patter, the aperol spritz line, the scene change to sudden make out, the voice shift from shy tourist to Cardinal (CARDINAL. “I like to watch” - I SCREAMED), the voice filterrr 😫😫😫😫, all the meta references during the dirty talk, not to mention pillow humping which is seriously underrated and not used enough in audios. Also JOI following car chase just made my list of fantasies that never occurred to me that I’m now obsessed with so thank you for that. Ugh, my head is spinning. This reminded me of old school August in the best way. The cool, detached condescension like we had with the Tutor and the Younger Brother Ms is present in this and it is making me feel so many things. I didn't even know I liked that but goddangit, I keep learning stuff about myself the longer I listen to you lol I've gotta reiterate something someone said above about how it's the writing that keeps them coming back and I have to agree 100%. It's HARD to write believable sex. It's even more impressive that you manage to do it and make it so hot in whatever situation you put your characters in. I couldn’t describe how much you hit the nail on the head, that’s EXACTLY how I feel. I say this with no disrespect to other VA’s, but August is so incredibly different BECAUSE he really knows what a women wants to hear. I often find that a male VA’s best work is if it’s a script fill from a female script writer, but even then, it’s not done with that inherent passion and rawness that August can master. I made a silly comparison by saying August is the Hozier of the audio porn community. Hozier’s female listeners say as a joke that he was a lesbian in a past life, because he GENUINELY knows what the female gaze is (and I’m not trying to just throw that term around either) and despite some of his songs centring around lust and desire, it’s not a “you’re so sexy baby, help me bust a nut” it’s instead a BURNING PASSION AND YEARNING AND VULNERABILITY!! And if that isn’t August too then I don’t know what is. I hate sounding dramatic or delusional, but especially when you have a specific taste in audios and you find a creator like August who just ticks every checkbox, it’s exhilarating. Especially since 99% of porn was created for the eyes of a man, even a lot of audio porn like you said. I’m so glad other people see it the same way and not just moaning into a microphone, it’s really become an art! Okay, I’ve tried to wrap my head around what makes your writing so DIFFERENT than basically any other male VA I’ve heard, and the bar scene at the beginning of this audio finally opened my eyes to it. Because like, spicy audios made by men for women are written to capture female fantasy but they also inherently indulge in some male fantasy too. The male VA always has a big dick, he’s always desired by listener, and he always scores, right? If you listen to enough of this type of audio you learn the script of it all - you learn the buttons the common tropes press not only for the female listeners but for the male VAs making the audios. So a more traditional male spicy audio VA would write the bar approach scene in a way that indulges in that male fantasy. A man wants to win a spot next to a woman at a bar by being so handsome she can’t look away or by saying some line so cool she can’t resist or by making her blush with the masculine dominance of his presence. Thats how the vast majority of male VAs of spicy audio (in my experience) would have written that scene. But that’s not how I want to be approached at a bar. Thats how I AM approached at a bar by men, but it’s not how I WANT to be approached at a bar. Know how I want to be approached? What approach would make me say yes EAGERLY and openly? A guy coming up to me and asking to buy me a drink after a moment of brief but sincere connection and telling me in the same breath that I can tell him to fuck off if I’m not interested. Just like you did in this audio. There’s always lots of talk about the female gaze and what women think is sexy versus men but you truly capture what women find appealing so effortlessly, it borders on unbelievable to me. In a wonderful way. There’s this…humility? Isn’t the right word but willingness to be vulnerable and to be something other than The Quintessential Example of Dominant Masculinity. In your audios, you’re so often incredulous that listener wants you. You are often so open and vocal about how hot she is and how desperately you want her. You always say “of course I’m hard, look at you, how could I not be?” This comment is way too long but I had to put it down in words before my brain would let me sleep tonight. Your audios exist for reasons other than you internally jerking it over how cool you can make yourself sound. In the best way. There is such a lack of ego and so much openness and realness that your work can’t even be compared to other spicy audio stuff, imo. The work you create is truly so incredibly special and in an absolute class of its own.

I listen to a lot of spicy audio and 99% of it is just men fake growling in my ear and playing one (1) flavor of dominance and then there’s you, writing like…actual fucking art. The nuance and the depth and the layers to your dynamics between speaker and listener are just incredible. So much more than I would ever expect from someone making spicy audio, and it makes it so hard to enjoy spicy audio from anyone else, at least for me. Your performing ability gets praised often and rightly so, but your WRITING. Unreal. What I pay monthly to hear this is a fraction of what it’s worth.

Tbh i actually think these audios are good for me because i get a lot of good and needed blood circulation to my face?? 😵‍💫 In all seriousness tho, i loved the mixing on this!! Tons of great dynamic moments especially moving from the action to the more intimate stuff. Like just sonically everything was on par volume wise and i really enjoyed that!! Worldbuilding!! Immersion!! Big favourite was the swishing of the bedsheets, love that kinda detail. Again its part of the immersion!!! The transitions between scenes too?? Chefs kiss, so ✨cinematic✨. I could almost envision the scenes as they were moving along like comics if that makes sense?? There was one part when it went from the bar to making out in a dark secluded place that had the same effect as a good page turn in a comic book, i liked that pacing it added to the atmosphere and how quickly the speaker and listener were moving along intimacy wise. And also just like a great showcase of character spectrum here from puppy dog intro to italian duolingo tourist to vocal fry domming at the end was delicious~ lol great work as per usual!!
