Being born a Princess is a rare privilege. Becoming Heir Presumptive must be earned to be accepted. In her youth, The Princess competed against her sisters to be given recognition in the eyes of her mother and the Five Houses. Once she completed the Trials in the Red Wastes, she was sent to study with each of the Houses to better learn what was expected of her. Even then, it was up to the Queen to choose who would one day succeed her to the throne. Reissa was the standout. But even she could not have predicted the strange events that would befall her long before the crown was to grace her brow.
