VERDANT PROPER - MOOD BOARD
Added 2019-11-26 08:56:07 +0000 UTCI've often found mood boards to be very beneficial, especially when I'm trying to nail down just the right inspiration for something like a location or a culture.
Verdant is both the name of the desert nation as well as the name of it's capitol city. When referring to the coastal capitol and largest city in the nation, most will call it Verdant proper or the capitol. It is the city in which Verdant was founded, and due to it's location has recently opened up limited access to trade vessels coming in from other continents. It is the most prosperous city, containing not only the royal palace, but the main military base, the only port in Verdant capable of receiving large ships, and the vast majority of fertile farmlands within the nation. A hub of culture and sophistication, it is a shining jewel.
But of course, one can not be reveal such a gem without others coveting it for themselves.
