On one hand, you could choose the Golden Lady. true she's crafty, power hungry, and viscous. But ultimately, all she wants is to go home. Well, go home and start a war. But a not a war here. She's a dangerous person, but if she remains in the human world, and Marigold passes away, she's just going to continue to hurt more people. You feel sure of that! Still, giving her the key will mean consigning everyone you've met to her obedience! You couldn't do that to them all...could you?
On the other hand, Marigold herself isn't the best option. Her family was tortured, tormented, and eventually broken by the fairy woman. Only for Marigold to turn around and make a deal with the devil in order to get what she wanted. What else could she have done over the years? Not to mention opening up the brothel and risking human lives every year in order to keep it open! She's put you and the entire town in danger so she could have the most extravagant menagerie in the history of the world! Maybe her motives were good, wanting to save monsters with no where else to go. But is it worth it when people could get killed?
Puck is waiting patiently, but not //that// patiently. He keeps peeking over to the door, as if he can feel a cruel miasma building up behind there. You feel a well of sorrow for him. After all, what choice does he have in all of this? He's bound to the Golden Lady whether he likes it or not, and clearly the gilded cage around his prick is much more than metal and locks. Perhaps it binds his will to hers. At first you thought it was just a kinky relationship thing. But now it's clear that his position is one of service in a much more frightful manner.
It occurs to you then, perhaps you have more than two options.
