You follow the spindly motion up into the ceiling. The curtains are layered upon one another in flowing billows of fabric, creating a romantic ambiance to the room. It's almost like looking up into red clouds. Dusty, cobweb riddled red clouds. But the effect is still very nice.
You've seen just about enough of this place to know something is here, watching you from out of your sight. You swallow and try to search through the curtain folds without touching them. Out of the corner of your eye, another rangy limb draws up, folding itself up behind the heavy fabric bulge.
"What in the..." You follow the movements along the ceiling until you see it. Or rather it sees you! The glossy, jewel like eyes stare back at you through a split in the curtains, and as you blink you can count six of them all together.
"Ohhhhhh nope." You shake your head, knowing full well what's coming. "No no no no no." You stumble backwards, a body slowly pushing forward as though birthing itself from the protective womb of fabrics. It looks vaguely human shaped, save for the strange intersecting plating on it's torso, the bulbous cheeks that encompass it's lower face, and the massive black eyes that won't leave your body. But to your horror, the thing doesn't seem to be done. It's abdomen reveals itself to be all too arachnid in nature, eight...wait...seven legs skittering about to find balance as it takes up about as much room as a grand piano!
"Hooooorat haaaar rooo hoooorink reeeear?" It demands to know, it's cheeks flexing as it's mouth opens and you are greeted by the sight of long, extending black fangs as this beast makes a threatening display at you.
