So in the beginning of my preparation I do blood work in order to check that everything's alright. Things like insulin/ glucose, D3, feritin, creatinine, ALT / AST (liver enzymes and kidneys) . Consult with your doctor. It's pretty costly but I'd rather have everything checked and controlled. I had bad experience with coaches long time ago... REMEMBER: your coach ISN'T a doctor, he/ she gives you advice according to what his fellow friends in bodybuilding tell him/her. They might have a general idea about hormones etc. BUT... I made a decision to check myself with a doctor too, not only listen to my coach. Unless your coach had a medical education, which is rare or unlikely. Next week I'm going to endocrinologist/ diabetologist (my choice). I have to admit, good and fast medical care sometimes seems to be a luxury :( ...
At the moment I'm taking: multivitamin, milk thistle (for liver detox), D3, probiotics (boulardii), triple blend for joints (with MSM), curcumin (for anti-inflamation), fish oil 1000mg, and I take 10mg of anavar as a start. I take anavar together with probiotics because roids are known for disturbing and decreasing the gut health (hence the pimples on shoulders or back etc.). I don't recommend eating junk food when you start a cycle because it will show on your skin most probably, unless you have good skin no matter what (genetics...damn it). Milk and pastry can cause pimples easily while on cycle. Gluten has negative effect on gut's walls...but again, you might not have any proneness to that. It's individual.
Also, I must drink a lot of water (ideally 3l a day at least), I prefer drinking it cold with lemon juice (Vitamin C is very important for immunity and it also helps with inflamation). I drink protein shake from time to time but it's not necessary. Food it better at this point.
Next post will be about food and diet
