The Coin 'o 2021

Font Lord here.
How are you?
I hope you're all doing well :)
I have a little bit of info for you and also some questions.
We are thinking about making a commemorative coin for the start of the new year.
A sort of 'good riddance' to 2020 and 'good luck' to 2021 kind of thing.
What do you think of that idea?
We have experience of making these types of coin before as you might have seen the Chaos Coin we did...

And also the Pirate Jam doubloons from the beginning of this year turned out particularly awesome too.

Obviously at this stage, we have no designs or ideas about what each side of the coin would look like yet, but we just wanted to put the feelers out and see if that might be something you would be interested in?
Sound off in the comments if you have any ideas about the coin design, but as for the poll, we are curious if we made the coin, how would you prefer to obtain it?
There are basically 2 ways...
1) Be at the correct tier at the correct month and we will send you one.
2) Put the coin into the Mysterious shop for everyone to buy, but Patrons get a discount code (like we just did with the calendar)
There are ups and downs about each option, but here are some negatives you might consider...
For point 1, this does require that Patrons 'pay attention' to the rules and if they are at a lower tier, they need to remember to change their tiers for the month of the promotion.
For point 2 this might make the coin feel less special somehow if it's available for everyone to purchase?
Again, if you have any feelings or opinions about this, pop them in the comments below.
I look forwards to getting all your feedback :)
- Cheers

A really cool idea. I could imagine the dark grin Cheshire Cat on the one side, on the other side a lovely, young Cheshire Cat on the other side. Like two sides of the Coin, both the same coin but still different sides. Just like life is itself, especially for Alice. A "good" side and a "mad" side but both recording to each other.
2020-11-23 20:26:39 +0000 UTCI voted for both. Since the "Chaos Coin" was also available later in the shop, even with the possibility to have the special Text for in-game later. I dont think this would make the coin any less special.

2020-11-21 18:18:47 +0000 UTCEveryone deserves a chance to get a piece of art created to say "fuck you 2020", so I personally think it should go up in the store after it's available for those with higher tiers
2020-11-20 16:22:34 +0000 UTCThe White Rabbit would be an awesome design
2020-11-20 15:50:35 +0000 UTCI am definitely interested in all the coins! I've been hoping this would be a thing.
2020-11-20 15:44:22 +0000 UTCI think it should go to the mysterious shop. Everyone who has made it through this year of chaos and madness should be able to hold this coin and just stop to breathe. For the design, I really like the idea of the vale of tears one one side as it feels like the earth itself has been shook to tears. That or the infernal train. Both hold a lot of meaning to me. The Vale of Tears speaks of the earth reacting to the psyche of the people (in which a lot of cruel beliefs and intents have really surged and became more powerful with the increased media attention, not to mention the obnoxious amount of natural disasters like fires that have been happening) and the infernal train represents intentional destruction (pretty self explanatory, and similar to the Vale of Tears with cruel intent and fires). On the other side I’m trying to think of something more peaceful or encouraging. I like the idea of Alice on the other side, as she’s made it through essentially the loss of her entire world, but she continually builds up the will and courage to fight on. I’ve also recently listened to Wilson’s Casebook, and the idea of Alice’s stuffed rabbit as a symbol of hope, strength and overcoming adversity/trauma is really sweet and wholesome. So I think the Vale of Tears and the stuffed rabbit would be a good pair, or the the infernal train and Alice with her vorpal blade on the other side.

2020-11-20 15:20:00 +0000 UTCThat's a great idea! Maybe the tentacles are wrapped around the caterpillar in a cocoon-like fashion on one side and then the other was a butterfly, or perhaps the caterpillar is trapped in the hookah on side and on the other side he's a butterfly broken free and holding the pipe part of the hookah?
2020-11-20 13:37:23 +0000 UTCI love the idea! I'll totally be getting one!

2020-11-20 12:59:24 +0000 UTCI love the coin idea! Putting it in the Mysterious shop means everyone can get it and give a swift kick in the teeth to 2020.
2020-11-20 12:54:15 +0000 UTCI voted for both. Since the "Chaos Coin" was also available later in the shop, even with the possibility to have the special Text for in-game later. I dont think this would make the coin any less special.

2020-11-20 12:38:58 +0000 UTCI like the hat idea. But....maybe a very distressed and attacked caterpillar and in the back a big ole blue butterfly? I really like the “solve et coagula” theme and and I think it STRONGLY applies to everything going on rn. The transformation of the butterfly would be a nice positive side of the same coin of all of this. I think the “mad world” side should have something on fire tho for sure.
2020-11-20 12:27:45 +0000 UTCI got the Chaos coin specifically because it carried Cheshire (my all time favourite). A new coin for a new year would be nice, but it would heavily depend on the design whether I will opt in again or not. As for the 2 options, I have no opinion, future fans may want to get a hold of one too I dont see why that would make mine less special.

2020-11-20 11:56:14 +0000 UTCHow about Hatter on one side for 2020 and Caterpillar on the other for 2021. Hatter representing the chaos of this year & Caterpillar representing change and with change comes hope.

2020-11-20 10:55:23 +0000 UTCa butterfly based thing might go nicely on a round design?
