Dye on the Throne

Dear Insane Children,

Fall officially arrived in Shanghai with "Qiu Feng" (autumn wind) which we felt strongly yesterday. It blew away the last remnants of summer's warmth and put us on our way towards winter. Brrrr.

I am not a fan of winter in Shanghai. It's a cold damp affair with very little else to offer. Another reason why I'm thankful that the tropical shores of Thailand are only a few hours away.

November to April are roughly the months of the Northwest Monsoon Season - during which cool dry air blows from the northwest (hence the name) over Thailand. This makes it an ideal time for sailing!

That's why tonight I am heading to Thailand to begin prep work on "Chaos" my 36' sailboat so she's ready for the sailing season and for Pirate Jam 2020. During this time I'll get her back into the water and start mapping out potential routes for our game developer pirates. Arrrg, matey!

You can learn more about Pirate Jam HERE

Don't Panic

I'm only away a few days and will still have Internet so that I can stay on top of the usual work stuff. And Font Lord is in Shanghai keeping an eye on support tickets, PMs and your other requests/needs.

Our art team will continue their efforts on art and design for Anger/Queen's Domain...

Omri's put final touches on the Queen's Throne Room (main image above). He says he doesn't know if this is art print worthy. What do you think?

We've also seen some updates to the trains and stations for the Looking Glass Line. I like this more baroque look. And the Looking Glass sculpture on top of the train... well...

Let us know what you think in the comments below!

These efforts are bringing us close to the end of this pass on the Queen's Domain. When I get back we'll start work on the next area - Bargaining!

Mysterious Makeup

At that time we'll also review the progress Yan is making on packaging and design for Mysterious Makeup.

If you'd like to see the previous big update on her efforts you can check out the Livestream we did on YouTube HERE and HERE.

Your feedback on this work is really important - and we've got some great comments and questions from the community thus far. Keep it coming!

Yan says that we should have some physical production samples to look at by early November. WOo! Progress!

Font Lord Notes

Please note that there's still a bit of a delay on sending out Chaos Necklaces and Art Prints from last month. Again, we had a bit of a slowdown because of the Chinese National Holiday and the arrival of Lucky

A lot of that slowdown has been with me (American) personally as I've struggled to balance all the work tasks and finding time to sign all those posters and cards. My apologies!

On that note, all of the "Alice Come Back" art prints are now in various states of transit towards you. I signed and packed the last batch of those yesterday. But there are still 140 items (art prints) in the shipping system which I need to sign and pack - when I get back from this trip.

Your patience and understanding are appreciated!

Questions? Concerns? You can email us at support @ mysterious (dot) design

Yay!

Lucky & Lulu!

Here's a little Lulu toe-licking Lucky to brighten your day! Awwww!

Going to miss them both!

Comments

That picture just melts the heart!

for PET sheet B looks good! Dont want to overuse the art and have it double with A inside and outside.

I’m just hoping these eyeshadows are REALLY pigmented!! Everything else is looking very nice, and yay for Lucky and Lulu!!!!! ā˜ŗļø

The throne room looks gorgeous (especially the blood/red carpet visual), and I really like the train station. The card guards look a bit too mecha-styled still, but as Ina suggested, perhaps these are some special guys built by Hatter? Gears do seem to be more his aesthetic. Not entirely sure how I feel about that train mirror yet!

I want you to work on this to perfection. Like just the idea of wondering around in the beautiful Wonderland you create for us is amazing. I play Madness Returns just to walk around and look at Wonderland. If you could make it to were it's a open world and we could just be in Wonderland. That would be AMAZING 😲

The queen's throne room is definitly print worthy! The train and trainstation thing looks good, and I don't mind the lady on top of the train as long as she has a purpous to be there. If she is just decoration, I don't think she is necessary. I can't waitfor the makeup to come out! I'm not buying any brushes irl atm specifically so I can use the brushes from the Alice makeup set you're making. Have a good trip!

Definitely not Adam Driver

I'm not worried about the delay with the art prints. It gets here when it gets here, you just enjoy your boat and your baby (: The steam punky card guard looks cool. Maybe it's a kind of mini boss, the Queen of Hearts got the hatter to make for her like a personal bodyguard against Alice? So in order to get to talk to the Queen of Hearts, Alice has to get passed this thing first. I love the look of the train station and the train, but the looking glass figure on top.. I actually like the look of the thing, but maybe it should be more like a coat of arms on the train doors and such? Or on the front of the train, like those mermaid figures on boats, and the Alice figure looking a bit more scared, holding her hands to her face like they're about to crash? Stopping here before it gets too long. Have a nice trip to Thailand! (:

Queen's Throne Room is print worthy, it's gorgeous. I absolutely love the statue on top of the train! I'm so freaking excited about the makeup, you've no idea! Yan's ideas are always brilliant! I know we won't be disappointed.

THAT TRAIN IS FANTASTIC! love the idea if the statue on top! That art if the throne room is 100% worthy of a print and I love seeing the stuff for the train. I'm interested to see how we move into Bargaining.

I agree: definitely print worthy. I'd like to see how it would look with the Queen staring straight at Alice. I think that seems more menacing that way.

That is definitely art print worthy, it's stunning.
