Crowd Design the Christmas Poster Pt. 2

Ever since the arrival of our Littlest Insane Child I've had this constant Sense of Christmas. Like that pressure you feel just before the arrival of a big storm except this is mingled with the memory of tinsel, candy canes, fake plastic trees, and eggnog. This child feels like the biggest gift I never knew I wanted.
I know you come here for the tentacles and knives but...
And Now For Something Complete Different
A note from Omri along with his latest updates to the Christmas Poster (attached above).
I tried to insert Alchemy symbols... it doesn't work for me, the concept of Christmas clashes for me with Alchemy, it's too much stuff on one image.
I merged the symbolic designs of the Asylum into the image, i need to render it out fully,
I placed the text Alex advised.
Should this be a card or a poster?
I'm happy with the result. I mean... it's got tentacles! It's got what plants crave.
What do you think? Are all the elements there? Any final adjustments?
The BIG QUESTION is - what should we do with this?
Card, Poster, or Other?
My initial thought is that I'd love to mail this out as a Thank You post card to Insane Children around the world. But we have to keep in mind that any sort of mailing (with tracking) will be ~$8USD per item... which if we were to send it to ~4000 Insane Children would be ~$32,000USD. And I don't know how much we could protect the card from damage in transit unless we put it in a box... which increases cost...
Then I was then thinking that we could bundle this as an Art Print with an upcoming shipment of the prints that would normally go out. As we've suggested for October - when there will be Two Prints in One Tube. Maybe we send this out in the tubes for November (along with the regular print for that month)? The only "problem" with this is that it means only those who are eligible to receive art prints would get it...
Maybe some sort of hybrid... It's a Post Card sent to all at $10 (or above) for a certain month + it's bundled as an Art Print for everyone receiving a print that month?
Difficult decision... since I want this to be a holiday Thank You type of thing but also have to be realistic about the costs associated with shipping such a thing.
Any ideas? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Registration Day!
Yan and I are off to the 身份证办公室 (identification card office) where we'll officially register 吉克 as a person and citizen of China. We've still not 100% settled on an English name. We got so used to calling "her" Lily while he was in the womb. Hard habit to break.

2019-11-29 04:53:01 +0000 UTChmm well if it's expensive to send what's stopping you from sending a digital version to whoever tires and up and give a recommended size for printing if the person who gets it wants it they print it. or maybe you dont have all the emails for all the insane children I dont know.

2019-09-06 20:14:24 +0000 UTCCongrats on the little human! As for the card, Omri's right. It's too busy. If it's a Liddell family Christmas card, the focus should be on the family. Everything else should be taken off, but I think the rabbit could stay along with something else, like the tentacles around the border or the alchemy symbols dotted around.

Wasn't there discussion too late in the year last year of a calendar being produced? Well, it's starting to get on in the year and if we want to have a 2020 Alice calendar, we should start considering it. This art piece would be perfect for such an item. You could even release them before the new year. Perhaps as a November or December Patreon reward for a certain value tier? Just thinkin... An AMA:A calendar would look pretty spiffy on the wall of my office.

We were talking about this the other day, names seem to get 'lost' to the female gender because from being neutral they start getting called 'girly.' Meredith, Ashley, Leslie, Drew, Erin, Harper, Kerry.... Lilian is actually a boys name in France, although an Elizabeth derivative. Eli is the Scandinavian short form of Elizabeth, so actually female there. There's all the Welsh 'lion' names if you want something similar, 'Leolin' etc, which would probably confuse everyone as they're almost East Asian in sound!
2019-09-05 11:40:12 +0000 UTCThe artist is right, there are a few too many elements in there, especially the belts (which, I assume, represents the straitjacket). I'm thinking that replacing the belts with tentacles would make more sense... as it is, too many things are going on at once. And some color correction may be in order... perhaps darken the browns a little bit, create contrast. Personally, I appreciate the thought of sending us this as thanks, but of course, you'll need to consider the economics of it for little Lucky McGee. He SHO CUTE.

I say that, because he's little so little you can give him the pet name: Lil' Lee (It sounds just like Lilly). =) And I'm perfectly okay with a digital card or a small print of this if it saves you on costs.

You can place your card there with the shipment of item. As fans we(speak for some not all) appreciate the thought and frankness (you have a little one which will be costly for you to be worrying about s&h) and a digital card is suffice...if it kills you still animate it silly. Should make BLANK CARD BOX SET with ALICE ART on cover to sell. Everyone has emergency cards needed some time or another. Do a mix, holiday(what ever design you pop out with) get well (alice image in asylum bed with rabbit, birthday, congrats, misc. um get back to this. Lisander, Linas, Lyle, think Lyle is more close to being the male version of Lily.

2019-09-05 01:42:09 +0000 UTCI think it's a tough decision because not everybody celebrates Christmas. I think if you wanted to a hybrid thing, maybe a mini poster would be a good option. Though I'm a collector of the prints, and that part of me says 100% make it a print. Also, this post make me tear up a little; I'm so glad that you're happy. I love seeing pictures of baby McGee! He's adorable!

I'm pretty positive people here wouldnt mind and it in a way still supports this game and you. Plus it is a bitching post card.
