Hit THIS LINK (or the video above?) to head over to YouTube and set a reminder.

Crowd Design Session #15

For those of you who missed it - or those of you who joined but just want to hear the sultry sound of Connor's voice - we've uploaded this week's Crowd Design Session to YouTube.

Hit THIS LINK to check it out!

As always, a huge THANKS to our Insane Children and Mods for helping organize and contribute to these sessions. And a special Thanks to Asteria Visual for helping capture and edit the AV for these uploads.

The Show Must Go On

Have you ever listened to or watched Pink Floyd's "The Wall?" If not, do. It's a masterpiece

And when I see these images from Norm... especially that Giant Queen Head lording over the circus ring...

So ya
Thought ya
Might like to go to the show
To feel the warm thrill of confusion
That space cadet glow
Tell me is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?
If you want to find out what's behind these cold eyes

You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise

Lights, turn on the sound effects, action

Drop it, drop it on 'em, drop it on them

When I think about turning Alice into a sort of musical-rock-opera... it's The Wall that always comes to mind first and most vividly.

I listened to this album so many times when I was a kid and growing up. It's probably subliminally infused in every creative thing I've ever done since.

Pretty sure Norm's been mainlining Floyd for a while as well ;)

Any other fans in the audience?

As always - Feedback and Suggestions in the Comments below!

We'll see everyone tomorrow!

Upon a Sea of Red - Weekly Livestream

Comments

Love it! I'm off my summer job for 2 weeks now so I can inally tune back in to the livestreams :D

Definitely not Adam Driver

Funny thing is I've been listening to The Wall pretty much every night for the last week (found that it helps me sleep for some reason)

Day after day, love turns grey Like the skin of a dying man. And night after night, we pretend its all right But I have grown older and You have grown colder and Nothing is very much fun any more. And I can feel one of my turns coming on. I feel cold as a razor blade, Tight as a tourniquet, Dry as a funeral drum. 🥀 Pink Floyd honestly changed my life. Was the first music to give me literal chills and change my mood completely. The instrumentals and lyrics gah I can’t even tell you how this affects me... not necessarily a depression but definitely a melancholy. When I first saw this ‘big’ queen it did remind me of the Judge from the Wall. Especially the past artwork when she had gears in her mouth. Happy to hear you see it too. Floyd and Mcgee for the win!!!

The Wall is absolutely a pinnacle piece of my youth - I heard it in my mind exactly as the record when I read your post 😸

I just figured out the asian Humpty Dumpty concept art for Madness Returns was because of the Great Wall :D Hadrian's wall has potential too! (The Infernal Dictionary reports a scottish superstition about the durability of this wall said to have been granted by the Devil.)

Make Nine Inch Nails great again

Any wait for the circus print!! It’s absolutely fantastic!

SUGGESTION from the Crowd Design re. the intro of the Vorpal Blade. Could Shadow Alice not steal Alice's white rabbit toy, hide the vorpal blade inside it, and leave it inside one of those arcade toy machines you see at the fairground with the clawhooks. Alice sees the white rabbit in the machine, determines to win it back, and then discovers the vorpal blade inside.

I'm more fond of A momentary lapse of reason, but yea, The wall is a masterpiece.

yup..... although I favored Dark Side ^_^
