Gunwild: Doodling on your journal is normal for young people, nobody mock!
Psu: This is kinda a pretty page. I might've made those doodles too "professional looking" that it doesn't quite look like Wrenn drew them herself though... Maybe if this adventure thing doesn't work out, she could end up a comic artist.
Gunwild: What an awful thing thing to wish on a child... anyway the "This too shall pass" is actually a bit of very old speculative fiction itself, often passed on about a ruler wise enough to engrave that on a ring. You know, so he could remember humility in triumph, and strength in defeat. He wasn't an alien or anything, but you get the idea.
Psu: Ya know, stop me if you don't wanna go over it but of all the characters in this comic I think you put the most of yourself into Wrenn. Well maybe Wrenn and Maks. But Wrenn knows a lot of good books and is a good writer too.
Gunwild: I guess that's kind of a nice thing to say? But I think y'know, our two leads are very confident, experienced space-adventurers doing the advanced class foil-a-giant-evil-plot stuff, and Wrenn is still on adventure one. I hope it seems relatable how unsure of herself she gets. I guess that is pretty me.
Psu: Well, I was just saying that you're both well read smart kids. But Wrenn probably likes Lord of the Rings more than either of us.

Gunwild: Yeah, I could think of some cool Tolkien-based turns of phrase when she showed up to establish things, but I'll have to work at it if I want to drop any next-level ones in the future. I do wonder who she set her record to auto-send to if she doesn't check in with it... that could be a wacky circumstance.
Psu: I don't really have anything set to autosend in the event I fail my adventures... That seems like a possibly important thing to have. But it's a lot to think about for a young kid on their first big train adventure.
Gunwild: At least nobody's tried to kill her. Yet. But if Cassiopeia's around that could change.
Psu: Cassiopeia could be a bad influence...
Gunwild: Yeah, she doesn't even have Zeke around at the moment to moderate that. Oh well!
Psu: Hey before we finish this conversation, can we talk about how this train looks super nice? I think at the time I was really into the idea of taking a nice train ride. Still am...
Gunwild: Well, it's a spacecraft, as you'll see out the window, but the sleeper bunks and stuff make it clear that it's a really nice space train of a space ship.
Psu: A regular Galaxy Express.
