Gunwild: I don't actually take in a lot of romance stories, but yeah even I'm a sucker for "Person is spurred to make a declaration about their feelings even though the outcome is dubious so you know they're really, definitely in love" bits.

Psu: Just enjoy the moment. She's really pretty on this page, I knew I wanted to draw this right so there's maybe a bit of extra care here.

Gunwild: So I just have to make everything this dramatic and you'll always give 210% instead of just 110%?

Psu: Well you could just write entire pages of pretty people kissing each other. Just make sure they're also people we root for.

Gunwild: Yeah, at the beginning of the comic Talps decides to try expressing herself with a mouth, since not all Vanaa do. I think she's doin' pretty well with it.

Psu: She's done a lot of research watching all the romantic movies that solids like, as part of her diplomatic research.

Gunwild: That's canon, she's a fan of Lefyne's mom's movies...

Psu: And maybe someday we'll get to tell the story of the first Vanaa movie star that starred alongside solids before the war. I think that was an idea we had, right?

Gunwild: Us and the stream chat who watched you make the cute slimes into the cute girls... I wonder if Theira delayed the victory pyro until right then so there would be sparks? I know we wrote that in together but I still wonder and I like wondering.

Psu: I think we just figured Theira would know a thing or two about showmanship.

Gunwild: She's a wingman. Doesn't have wings anymore, maybe. But still eats them!

Psu: Ya know. For a comic that started out about being kinda sexy, kinda cute adventure stuff. We haven't done a lot of kissing scenes. I think what we really wanted to do was just get this one thing right.

Gunwild: Well... being sexy is all good and well, but love is like... important!
